This calendar of independently-owned and organized meets is for athletes, sponsors and fans. It ensures multiple, unique opportunities for all discipline groups to earn points in the World Athletics ranking system.
As part of the collaboration, USATF provides;
✅All fees and logistics for drug testing
✅All fees and logistics for the technical delegate
✅sanctioning, insurance and World Athletics Calendar entry
✅Travel for tiered athletes
✅Costs for additional disciplines added to the program
✅Marketing and social media coverage and promotion on USATF channels
USATF will award 💰💸$5️⃣0️⃣ ,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣in prize money to the male and female athlete who earn the highest number of World Athletics performance points in their three highest-scoring competitions during the series.
“The events included in the USATF Tour and the people who work hard to put them on are the backbone of elite-level track and field competition in the United States,” said Max Siegel, CEO of USATF. “We see this tour as not only a way to create the best domestic opportunities for U.S. athletes, but also a way to highlight and amplify the work these events do to grow the sport.”
