Urban Cabin 🍂🍁
A home should feel and look like the people who live in it, telling their story through every detail. Originally from Australia, our clients have a deep connection to nature and an appreciation for honest, raw materials. Their choice to live in a relatively compact apartment (around 100 sqm) within a close-knit community says so much about who they are, and this is reflected in every design decision we made- from the spatial layout to the materials and curated art.
The surrounding neighborhood was the project’s first source of inspiration. The large living room window and the feeling of the grove almost flowing into the home created the sense of a cabin in the heart of the city. The material palette and colors were chosen to enhance this warmth: rich oak wood, exposed ceiling beams, abundant textiles, amongst urban elements such as polished concrete flooring with visible aggregates and brick walls.
