Hello party friends! **tl;dr - doing a party this Friday in @fidelitydublin playing all the old Wednesday classics** I never really spoke about it at the time, but last year there was an abrupt ending to the weekly party, Somewhere?, that @deutscheute and I had run every Wednesday night in the Workmans for the guts of 14 years. Trev and the gang would play all things indie upstairs and I would play the party hits in the downstairs room. I was very proud of the nights we all had down in that special room. I learned my craft as a DJ down there, I learned that the to a large extent it’s not what you play it’s how you play it. I met so many friends in that room, I’ve even done weddings for couples who met in that room - it was a special place every Wednesday night for so many years. Anyway, due to circumstances beyond our control, the party had to stop with immediate effect and that was it. This Friday I’m very buzzed to be throwing a party to celebrate all the amazing nights we had down there. It’ll be in the studio room of @fidelitydublin , dancing will commence from 10pm and it’s free in 🎈🪩 See you down the front! Deece xx

Hello! Something I’ve been thinking about for a while is adding nightly themes to my monthly residency (first Saturday of the month) in the bar at @fidelitydublin . It’s such a magic place with incredible sound and sometimes I feel like I don’t put enough effort in to and just end up playing whatever. This Saturday though I’ll be going full boogie! Playing all my favourite songs that I feel would fall in to the “boogie” spectrum, old and new. It’s a genre that really suits the space and I can’t wait to play! 🪩

TL/DR - I ended up DJing to 10,000 people on Friday night 🤘🏻 Friday night at @alltogethernow.ie was insane - like one of the best moments of my life kinda thing. It was about 20 past 11 - I was at @fontainesband on the main stage, watching them do their thing, getting ready for my set on the Schweppes stage at midnight - my watch starts buzzing and it’s one of festival promoters ringing me so I’m obviously thinking what’s this all about so I answer but I can’t hear a thing. I then get a text saying that basically the truck with all the @leftfieldmusic gear on it has had some issues and they’re not going to be able to start until about 1am and they needed me to DJ on their stage until then. Fast forward 5 minutes later and I’m set up in a tent that holds 10k people that’s about to fill up any minute with people expecting see Leftfield. It was daunting at first because you’re worried about people seeing you up there instead of two electronic music icons, but I got in the groove for it right away and banged it out and was super proud of myself, and it was all very special. So, thanks so much to everyone for sticking with me and dancing while you waited for Leftfield, and thanks so much to @will5rolfe & @jaiken11 for the trust. Also - thanks to everyone who then came over to see me close at the Schweppes stage for the last hour as well. Hope you’ll forgive me for being late! ❤️🪩
