We didn’t bring the gold home, but we’re winning where it matters — in our genre and the next tier. It still feels like a win. To be standing in that room, among so many heavy talents — artists whose work I respect and whose paths I’ve watched and walked alongside — is an honor in itself. That kind of company speaks volumes. Awards come and go, and the music business has many lanes, many priorities, many ways of measuring impact. Sometimes it’s about production, sometimes it’s about reach, sometimes it’s about timing. For me, the real work has always been about intention, longevity, and staying true to the spirit of the music — building something that lives beyond a moment. I’m grateful for the nomination, clear-eyed about the landscape, and even more committed to the path I’ve always walked. Deep gratitude to my team, @theovationagency , @soul2souluk , and to everyone who poured energy, trust, and care into this work. Thank you to the @grammys members and voters for the recognition and for listening. Legacy isn’t voted on. It’s lived, built, and carried forward. The music continues. ELECTRIC JUNGLE BY RON TRENT Featuring Angel Figueora and Pablo Color Performed and Produced by Ron Trent. A Cosmic Arts Advanced Exclusive Manufactured and Distributed by Mother Tongue More than a gallery of sound art, Sacred Medicine is a living movement, woven through spirit, purpose, and ancestral remembrance. It stands as guardian to traditions long neglected, creating not merely for creativity’s sake, but with intention: art as ritual, sound as resistance, and frequency as medicine. What began as an ancestral mission continues as a sincere offering of healing vibration and transformative consciousness. Each resonance carries encoded memory-skin upon skin, moss-born codes, and messages transmitted through stretched animal hide and sacred percussion. These frequencies move beyond performance, channeling a humble yet powerful force of artistic expression. Through the unseen architecture of sound, Sacred Medicine seeks to restore what has too often been misnamed, misunderstood, and misused. Continuing this mission comes the latest composition from Sacred Medicine co-missionary Brother Ron Trent, presenting another chapter in his series of works : Electric Jungle, featuring Angel Figueora and Pablo Color. There is little need to explain what it sounds like- many already understand the language being spoken. Once again, the music speaks entirely for itself. Equally deserving of recognition is the striking visual artwork created by award-winning artist DJ Underdog, whose visionary work once again graces the cover of the limited-run jacket edition, with only 1,000 copies produced worldwide. Where stigma once cast its shadow, Sacred Medicine responds with purpose. Where culture has been diluted, it answers through intentional action. Where sacred scripture has been extracted, exploited, and displayed without reverence, it remains both conduit and protector. For music is not merely entertainment , it is ceremony. Art is not decoration , it is invocation. Finally grounding after some heavy weekenders. Honored to be back at @ministryofsoundclub with @hardtimes_records @tony_humphries 🙏🏾 I haven’t played this room since the 90s — the first time was 1994. Back then, only the best of the best touched that space. Ministry of Sound holds a special weight in the culture — one of the last clubs Frankie Knuckles ever played, and a room where Larry Levan helped shape the system’s sound in its early days. That lineage is real. That energy is still in the walls. Big love to everyone who came through and brought that spirit to the floor… @sacredmedicinearts w/ my brother @joeclaussellsplaygroundd was in full effect. We’re not just playing music in these spaces — we’re moving energy, honoring the ones who paved our ways, and carrying history forward.
