this coming month, I’m playing sounds for you on different occasions; from bass-y stuff on dancefloors, to gentler soundscapes for reflection ~ .. now also felt like a good time for a sort of revamp of this account. my previous handle, Cikada, was also my first artist moniker that I started in my early 20s. Producing, rapping and singing, I put out two EPs, one album and a handful of singles under this alias over the years.. I’m not forever closing the door on this project, but I’ve grown to be doing so much more with my artistic practice that being said, I’m excited to say that I have another music project taking shape! @dizzyplay.time is my new venture into something heavier, bassier, and more textural — both in the studio, and behind the decks. Some things are in the works, and will see the light of day in not too long(!) @malteonthemove will continue to be my main outlet, covering all of the other things that I do across sound, music, installation work, live performance, facilitation, coordination.. and everything else keep an eye (and ear!) out for one, or both, and catch me in person around Montreal over the next little while! 💥 01.11 ~ DJ @xo_noir halloween this weekend alongside @bijoulovesyou crewww @drinkingmystemcells and @blis_dalton taking over the Purgatory room 01-05 🌊 13.11 ~ LIVE presenting “Bribes dans la brume” live for the first time as part of the Biennale des erreurs, by @baobabcreationmulti - a guided meditation on memories of the ocean alongside live soundscapes (in french!) 💥 22.11 ~ DJ [TBA] at my fav dancefloor in the city @_parquette 🌊 04.12 ~ LIVE performing “Opal” live for a second time alongside @__vaiu , a work we wrote together earlier this year for voice and hydrophones.
