Should be a fun one today đđđ
These arenât just classics for the sake of nostalgiaâtheyâre the records that established the sound design principles still heard on floors worldwide today. Disruptive Pattern Materialâs selections span from the Electro foundation that birthed entire genres to the acidic emotional weight that captures Detroitâs spirit, proving that when production is this intentional and this pure, three decades only makes it sound more essential.
Catch Disruptive Pattern Material alongside Mazzacles this Saturday, 10th January at Club 77 from 10pm til 5am. Free entry before midnight via đ guest list ~ $25 after

The sudden closure of @asliceofficial in 2024 sent a shockwave through dance music, prompting numerous impassioned discussions about the initiative and its attempt to combat the glaring compensation imbalance between producers and DJs. The Aslice team, however, has largely stayed out of those discussionsâuntil now.
Speaking publicly for the first time since the project shut its doors, CEO Ethan Holben (@disruptivepatternmaterial ) and founder of Aslice @dvs1hush will reflect back on their experience, detailing the challenges of launching and running a payment-sharing system and sharing many of the lessons they learned along the way.
More than just a post-mortem, this conversation will also look at the current state of fair pay in dance music, taking stock of how artists are being affected, and examining what opportunities still exist to build on what Aslice started.
Join us for the panel âOne Year After Aslice: Is Fair Compensation Possible?â , moderated by @shawnreynaldo

Wall of Sound Detroit 2025 Review:
âLet me start by saying that the Wall of Sound Detroit is a 10 out of 10. Of hundreds of parties across US/Europe Iâve been to, this earns the undisputed #1 spot on my list period. Berlin/Amsterdam always has high standards, but those are at permanent techno venues. Whatâs even more impressive is that Bert is almost a blank canvas, but for WoS Detroit it became better than ANY clubs Iâve been to. The sound was 10/10, anywhere you stand on the dance floor. The music was 10/10, proper and perfect curation from start to finish. Anthony Rotherâs set in between Dasha and DVS1 was a perfect bridge. Itâs a tough slot to be in, but whatâs even more impressive was Anthony did it with a proper OG elite electro set, a genre thatâs long gone. And the vibe was 10/10. The man behind the lighting brought Amsterdam to Detroit. His style/skill is unmatched, simply the best in the game. Last but not least, to the entire team behind-the-scenes that put all of this together, itâs a 10/10 labor of love type of execution. Thank you, itâs impressive.â - Ground_Andri (Discord)
Much love to @dvs1hush@anthony_rother@dasha_rush_official@disruptivepatternmaterial DJ Pete, and Traxx for an experience that is unmatched. Letâs do this again.
Thank you to the ravers & staff that made it all happen. Stay tuned for more content!
