Legend is an understatement of what this man did for music and the recording industry. A true hero of mine and someone I have looked up to my entire life. A career spanning 8 decades from Jazz to Soul to Pop to R&B. From meeting Ray Charles when he was 14 to writing and arranging for Frank Sinatra breaking down the racial barriers and causing Las Vegas to allow interracial bands stay in the same hotel when before it was segregated. To the obvious massive impact that Thriller made on pop culture and my childhood. Being the highest selling album of all time and doing as he set out to do which was stating āWeāre here to save the recorded music industry.ā A producers producer, writer, arranger and musician. I even purchased his brand of headphones and gave me delight when his own voice would tell me āpowering onā and āconnectedā

Next Friday we have a sick west county jump off just south of the Russian River in Occidental. Boho Boogie is brewing and will be popping off July 19th. We have a pile of cool acts lined up and Iām gonna call it a West County take Over. Heās been warming this dance floor up on the regular these days. @zebuel and @disco__e get to take their shirts off and play some side beats from their regular stellar @smokedoutsoul outfit.
