āKeep On is up on Spotify!
We recorded this one completely analog to tape with the mindset of Chic New York late 70s. @dankesound came in and imprinted her magic to make it a banger. @misterkingdom brought his tight punchy groove to make the people dance. Please give it a listen, we spent a lot of time crafting this one and we think itāll make your booty shake!
Top Shelf Disco Boogie Alert: Another hot 2 sider has landed at HQ and is now shipping. This is our 3rd 7in Collab with the always impressive Futvrst camp out of the Bay Area. Fully analog disco and disco boogie sounds with supreme vocals to match on both sides. Pure party grooves on the A side with deep emotional disco madness on the flip. Very impressed with the evolution of this studio duo, I think we might be ready for album mode.
We spent most weekends at amoeba in high school collecting records and learning about the music we play now, it was so cool to see our record up on the wall there! Special thanks to @guillermoesseff@sweaterfunk for making it happen, we love you @amoebasf !
Killer night at @sweaterfunk last night! Dance floor was jumping early, which set the stage for a live set by @futvrst who tore it down! S/O to our guest DJ @manymoosetakes who smashed it on his birthday. Thx yāall, that was fun⦠weāll see you next month and EVERY 1ST SATURDAY at KO! š„

ABOUT FUTVRST
@futvrst is the studio project of Kellen Harrison and Ian McDonald, two life-long friends who started playing in bands together back in middle school near the Bay Area of California. The duo stayed connected over a shared obsession with classic disco (think Chic), modern groove (like Daft Punk), and a deep love for vintage synthesizers and drum machines.
