Here's a brief recap of my incredible journey through Italy, where I accomplished several goals and took my art to new heights. I also look forward to exciting upcoming events on the horizon. Because of this, and at their request, the exhibition at Palazzo della Racchetta has been extended through May 2nd. Tomorrow, meetings with @membranceofficial and @viaad_mortem in Verona and finally @jennifer__badalotti Church Of Crow doom festival on the 1 st and 2nd of May in Pinerolo and while in Venice, I got inspired to create a @standarkart logo

Close up! There are parts of the glaze that just work for me. Where it meets the edge of the clay or interacts with another glaze or sometimes the layering of the same colour giving texture. It’s the joy and heartache of opening a glaze kiln. The dopamine hit when it works is one of the reasons I keep doing the work. I’m loving this mustard yellow and how it fits with the soft teal, oily blue and greens. These will be on much of my work showing in the next couple of months @craftfestival @escot_house @art_house_by_the_postbox @delamoreart @devonopenstudios @devon_artist_network

Time for a few announcements. @carncrescentcrow new logo completed and I will be exhibiting at #penzance with @caroline_wallis_dark_artist 19-21 st of June but also earlier this year in Turin with @helios072 during the #churchofcrowfestival , and in late augus @drumsofwarfestival @goran_metalhead @mangualesextreme . On top of that @heavymusicartwork is launching 2?releases dedicated to Christophe Szpajdel — the “Lord of the Logos.” Both Oracles In Black(new volume) and the Archaic Modernism – Second Edition are now available to pre-order. These books document one of the most prolific visual languages in extreme music — hand-drawn logos that have shaped the identity of bands across the world and beyond the underground. • 📣LITTLE ANNOUNCEMENT Really pleased to be able to announce that I have accepted an invitation to become a Director of Devon Artist Network. This is such a privilege as this network is now over 22 years old and offers a platform for artists work and to be part of one of the largest open studios each year. Membership is growing, so I am looking forward to paying forward the help and support DAN have given me since joining. I am excited for Devon Artist Network’s first group exhibition being held at Craft Festival, Bovey Tracey in June… think it will be a lovely start for Devon Artists exhibitions and events we hope to offer to the membership. I’m also taking part in the annual Devon Open Studios in September. I’ll be opening my studio to visitors, who will be able to marble with me and see how I make my marbled books and saddle stitch marbled leather bags and journals. I’ll also be offering some workshops during the event, which proved popular last year. Thank you @devon_artist_network for this lovely appointment. We spent this morning diving into the archives, sorting through photographs from the past three years. It’s incredible how many meaningful moments live in the B-roll - the ones that never get posted and quietly disappear into the sea of images. Looking back now, we’re reminded just how busy we’ve been 😁💚

👉 I recently wrote a piece for @devon_artist_network about my experience of applying for the @devonopenstudios bursary ✨ Looking back now, I can’t quite believe how much has changed since 2024. Being awarded one of the emerging artist bursaries became a real springboard — leading me to where I am today: making work for my first solo show this August Bank Holiday, and writing a fortnightly blog (Solo Show Diary) sharing the behind-the-scenes journey.
