This a photo from back in early April this year, during the final hours of putting together my show @coreyhelfordgallery . Surrounded by finished and unfinished work, kind of sums up how the majority of my year was spent… in the studio making paintings, long days inside open worlds. On the eve of the New Year, I’m reflecting on how grateful I am to be on this endless creative journey. I truly love creating, and I’m inspired to dive deeper, embracing whatever challenges ahead that help me evolve my work in 2026 ✨Thank you collectors, curators, patrons and friends who make it possible to keep growing . For now, I’m still on Christmas break ✨ Happy New Year !

The pelican has always been a creature that touches a piece of nostalgia for me. In summers past, I’d watch them soar in groups above my grandparents balcony.
