A message we received earlier, which makes all the late nights so so worth it: “We wanted to send you a quick message thanking you for all the work you’ve put into this campaign this year, telling trans stories of life, resilience and hope in such a dark political time. We as a community and as a world need these stories more than ever right now, and we in this brain are all so greatful for your work. Keep on telling trans history from all over the world - tell stories of trans people of global majority, disabled trans people etc. who made this world a better place. No matter what nasty comments some transphobe might put on your post, know you are doing the right thing and for every hateful comment, there is some closeted trans person out there who now knows they have a future because they have seen our community’s resilience and rich past. There’s a billboard right outside our flat which has had the Trans History Week campaign on it, and it has been such a wonderful thing to see as we walk to work, especially as we have been anxious about the Sennedd election, the EHRC guidance and the BMA’s Cass Review report this week. You have reminded us all that we’re not alone and that in the words of your own campaign - ‘like water, we will always find a way’. Thank you for making our days during what has been quite a difficult few weeks for us. Thank you, from all of us in this brain, for all you all do. Keep on telling our history, never forget how powerful our stories are, and most of all never give up. We’ll find a way through this just like our transcestors, and your work is a constant affirmation of that.” #translivesmatter #transhistoryweek

99% of Trans+ people believe UK media coverage negatively impacts their mental health. REFLECTIONS is a space to pause, slow down, and breathe. Set apart from the noise, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect together on Trans+ history, community, and change through words, water, and sound. It spotlights the voice and power of Trans+ communities across the UK. Each line is inspired by the words, experiences, and histories of Trans+ people, revealing how small acts of courage and care ripple outward, gathering into a shared force that continues to shape Trans+ lives and futures. Shaped by stories from Trans+ creatives and research with 100+ Trans+ perspectives, each headline connects with an article on the Trans+ History Week hub at QueerAF: /transhistoryweek/ This vital work features contributions from Alex Parmar-Yee, Ayesha Stephanides David, Gabriel Oak Baker, Jaime S.K. Starr, and Sophie Edwards. Visit Outernet London’s Now Trending space this weekend to see our installation on rotation. Screening until 10 May. Summon your future ✨ Night School by SheSays is a short-form online content series that allows the @shesayslondon community to learn from unexpected guides and mentors with real life experience of the skills they are teaching. From providing initial logo concepts to handing the incredible mentors their own printed Tarot-inspired cards a year later, this was a project that allowed me to flex my own design style out in the wild. It was an absolute blast that allowed me to push into my love of typography (especially blackletter), motion (with grace and guidance from @denderrender ) and all things a little bit spooky. Seeing @fayewessely and the video team take the brand out into the world was the cherry on top as we helped hundreds of participants summon their future ✨🔮 Sharing work like this reminds me how much I enjoy the thinking and the teams behind the visuals. So grateful @cosmikdragon helped me rise to the challenge 🙏🏼 I’m keen to step back into a collab for my next design chapter as that’s where the magic really happens!

Surprise! We took the the #nightschoolbyshesays talent cards and made them real ⚡️ My feet are only just touching the ground again after an incredible campaign headed by @cosmikdragon . In the spirit of reflecting as the witches’ wheel turns towards the darkness, I’ll do my best to put the magic of the past few months into words over the coming days ✨

“It’s about honouring what people have built.”    How do you create a trophy that’s an effortless combination of accessibility and beauty? Enter Den, a Motion Designer and Visual Communicator with a flair for creativity and a passion for the cause 💜    We challenged Den to create a design that would capture the spirit of the event. They needed to be accessible for as many people as possible, and act as a visual celebration of disability equality 🏆    Did Den meet the brief? We’d definitely say so! He designed these striking trophies for our 2025 ceremony, creating something meaningful and memorable for our winners.    They blend a powerful message of community and resilience with Scope’s new brand identity, making them the perfect choice for our Awards.    Thank you so much, Den. We loved having your work be part of our celebration 🌟    Remember there is still time to nominate someone for the 2026 Scope Awards! Visit our website to get started, the link’s in our bio.    Video description: Den, a Filipino man with short slicked back black hair, is at the Scope Awards. He is wearing a white short-sleeve shirt. He is sitting in front of a purple board which has the Scope Awards logo on it. He is holding a trophy for the Scope Awards. It is purple, and shaped like 3 circles in a row on top of each other. There are multicoloured paint splatters along the edges. He is also shown at home, working on the trophy design on his tablet.

The first Meet & Makan sesh was a huge success with VJ Anand! VJ is now the Founder & Chief Experiment Officer of Ballsy, and before this was the Executive Creative Director EMEA & Global Creative Operations at VaynerMedia. He spoke about his global experience and how growing up in Asia informed his creative choices, and his incredible career journey - including leading and growing a team of 4 to 288 strong! We ended off the night with karaoke 🎤 (of course) and were very well fed 🤤 Till the next one 🍽
