Find yourself curious by nature and love uncovering whatʼs really going on? Meet @calumsleslie , whose job means that no two days are ever the same, from presenting the news live across BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra and Asian Network, to reading bedtime stories on CBeebies🎙️ The adrenaline from recording live is the ultimate high for him, but although we hear a lot of the fun in between presenting news bulletins live on air - the extensive process of news fact checking is probably what he spends most of his time doing to make sure the news is as honest and accurate as possible.

There are so many stories out there waiting for you to dive into. Explore roles like investigative journalist, documentary maker, researcher, or features writer where you can unravel the bigger story. Meet @creesummerh_ who gained her NCTJ qualification at ITV Central while she was an apprentice on the junior journalism apprenticeship. She’s since gone on to shoot the award winning documentary ‘Britain’s Backstreet Surgery Scandal’ at the age of 25. She joined us to talk about her passion for seeking out stories that aren’t being told and how an apprenticeship gave her the opportunity to learn ‘hands-on’.

NEW WORK📰⭐️ Who’s going to be shaping tomorrow’s headlines? We’ve partnered with the @nctj_news to create the new campaign ‘Where your story goes’, aiming to inspire more young people to pursue a career in journalism through helping shine a light on the huge variety of roles across the industry. Targeted at 14–18-year-olds, the campaign was born from research showing that although young people are interested in journalism, many don’t fully trust the news or feel it represents them, and often still think of journalism in a very outdated way. From content production to podcasting, documentary making to editing, the campaign hopes to showcase just some of the wide range of roles that exist to some of the young people that could be the perfect fit. To help do this, the campaign’s dedicated site features an interactive personality quiz for young people to explore which journalism roles could suit them best. As part of the campaign, we collaborated with 5 young journalists from ITV News, BBC Radio 1, Attitude Magazine UK and Southwark News to hear about their different roles within journalism and get their take on what kind of people could be a great fit for the industry. Explore their interviews and take the quiz through the link in our bio🔗 Thanks to NCTJ for allowing us to create this and to everyone involved! Here at Livity, we collaborate with young people at every stage of the journey. From research and insight, to testing, creating, and producing, co-creation means their voices are at the centre of everything we do. Our recent work on the @coppafeel brand film showed exactly that. We partnered with an incredible group of young people throughout every phase of the process, making sure the charity’s life-saving messages landed authentically with its intended audience🍒🍒 Here, some of the young people involved share why being part of this co-creation was important to them. A big special thank you to all of those involved💖

When young people imagine the future of technology, they don’t picture more screens 🖥️– they picture more purpose. In The Future Report, teens across Europe told us they want tech that’s designed for people first: tools that improve education, protect wellbeing, tackle climate challenges and make society fairer🤝 They believe technology can create a better world🌍– but only if their voices are part of the design. They’re calling for inclusive, ethical innovation, for AI literacy in schools, and for spaces where they can help shape what comes next. Read the full report via the link in our bio!
