🎧 CALL FOR SOUND COMPOSITIONS
A sonic offering for Palestine 🇵🇸
Project coordinated by Rafael Diogo (Deep Dive Sound) with support from Cities and Memory 🌍
We’re inviting sound artists, ambient musicians, and sonic storytellers to contribute to a compilation of listening, resistance, and remembrance.
This is not just a collection — it’s a sound call across borders, stitched from frequencies of grief, hope, rage, prayer, and love.
Every vibration will raise funds for urgent humanitarian aid and amplify voices from a silenced land.
Whether it’s a soundscape, a musical whisper, an ambient piece, or a cry torn from the earth — let it become part of this shared act of resonance.
🕊️ Let sound be a shelter. Let it be a refusal to forget.
📩 Submission info in bio
🎙️ You may also use a selection of Palestine field recordings from our sound archive —
with full respect, only for this project, and with proper credit. Please get in touch if you’d like access to the recordings.

🌍 100% of proceeds will go directly to Hope and Play, helping provide vital support to children in Gaza.

A glimpse into ✨☁️ The Tides Of Memory ☁️✨ a track from the new Deep Dive Sound album 🍃✨ Off The Beaten Path 🍃✨
This track reflects how memories are important, a happy place where time is perceived by tides 💦✨
Low tides uncovering a land of memories forgotten in the passage of time, a slow wave sleep ☁️✨

I’m truly honored to be part of this incredible project alongside @karhideband .
Today, @citiesandmemory and @the___figurehead launch their latest work: Flow.
Flow traces the life of a river — from source to mouth — through sound.
Presented at the EGU General Assembly in Vienna, Europe’s largest geoscience conference, the project brings together science, field recording, and visual storytelling to reimagine the journey of a river.
Created in collaboration with the University of Padova @unipd and the University of Würzburg @uniwuerzburg Flow follows the course of the River Lech through Austria and Germany, reflecting the stories of rivers across the world.
Researchers collected satellite imagery, photography, scientific research, and field recordings along the river’s entire length, inviting artists to reinterpret the river’s life through sound.

Imagine being close to an African bull…
I’ve experienced it a few times, and it’s haunting in the most powerful way.
Before you even see them, you hear their breathing 💨
Uploading this recording from the wild, so you can step inside that moment with me 🎧✨
Selling my Rav Vast 2 (B Celtic Minor).
Think it’s time I let it go to someone who’ll give it more life than I have lately.
It sounds amazing, still basically new, just waiting for a new story 🌿
We’re proud to launch the third and final volume in our Echoes for Palestine series today on @bandcamp Friday - every penny you donate today by buying the album goes to @hope_and_play_charity and their amazing work with children in Palestine and Gaza. Find it at the link in our bio 🇵🇸❤️🖤💚
Huge thanks to all of the artists who contributed their time, energy and creativity to helping us support this amazing charity, to @deepdivesound for his tireless enthusiasm in assembling the collection, and to everyone who reached into their pockets to back this project, from Volume 1 to today.
Echoes for Palestine, Volume 3 marks the closing chapter of this global series — but not the feeling behind it.
It remains, and will always remain, a tender artistic gesture of solidarity and compassion for the children of Gaza and the West Bank.
Carrying the same intention and empathy that shaped the previous volumes, this final chapter turns further inward — into more experimental realms. Moving beyond genre, a new constellation of works from artists around the world emerges, drifting into electroacoustic and acousmatic territories — where sound sheds its attachment to form and becomes gesture, texture, and presence.
Here, sound resists simply by existing freely.
By holding space for harmony as much as noise.
From breath-driven wind instruments carrying distant echoes of فلسطين, to fractured sonic narratives where grief and grace coexist; from the dense noise of decayed tapes, where silence holds as much weight as sound, to field recordings dissolving into a low hum of tension — each piece feels like a trace calling for change, where listening becomes an act of resistance.
Across these 25 tracks, a living cartography of sound unfolds — raw, intimate, and unguarded.
Together, they form a space that is fragile, yet unbroken.
Because even here — especially here — hope endures.
The cover artwork was generously gifted by illustrator Burla Manu, whose vision quietly holds the spirit of this work. \\ #bandcampfriday #fundraiser #palestine #gaza freepalesti̇ne
There is nothing that makes me feel as high, apart from the sea, as being in the breathing lungs of a rainforest. That is where sound reveals itself fully, not as something to capture, but something to enter.
I have learned to move lightly there, to leave nothing behind but the soft imprint of footsteps that the forest will quietly erase. The practice becomes less about recording and more about listening without disturbance, finding ways to exist within the environment rather than impose upon it. The forest offers everything if you are attentive enough. Branches cradle microphones, leaves shield against sudden rain, roots become shelter when the sky breaks open. Even the act of hiding, from the restless curiosity of monkeys and the weight of weather, feels like a kind of collaboration with the place.
In those moments, I stop being an observer. I dissolve into it.
There is nothing quite like falling asleep inside that living orchestra. Layers of insects, distant calls, shifting winds through the canopy, each sound folding into another, endless and alive. It is immersive in a way that no constructed space could ever replicate. You do not just hear it, you are held inside it.
And in that vast unseen network of rhythms and voices, I feel small in the most grounding way. Not diminished, but placed. Like an ant moving through something immeasurably larger, guided by forces I do not need to understand to feel connected to.
Out there, sound is not something I collect.
It is something that reminds me where I belong 💚
Over the next few days I’ll be sharing performances from our past events ✨
