We’re deeply grateful to Villa Aurora Fellow @rebecca_racine_ramershoven for grounding the discussion with such intention, and to our brilliant panelists Dominique Clayton @lookatdominique and Evan Nicole Brown @evaninwonderland for sharing their insight & thought provoking dialogue. ✨ Artist Spotlight: Yetunde Sapp ✨ Meet Yetunde Sapp @yaytuneday A Brooklyn-based multimedia artist whose evolving practice spans acrylic on canvas, experimental, and beyond. Through storytelling rooted in materiality, Yetunde’s work serves as a vessel for self-preservation and ancestral memory. As a Black artist, she sees her craft as a way to illuminate histories and narratives often pushed to the margins. ✨ Artist Spotlight: Lacy Talley ✨ Meet @lacerrrr , the Cleveland-based artist, graphic designer, and muralist turning joyful chaos into captivating visual worlds. Known for her vibrant acrylic figure paintings, Lacy’s work radiates otherworldly energy—drawing inspiration from crystal properties, intuitive gestures, and a love for storytelling. Her journey spans branding, murals, and illustration, with collaborations including Spotify, Moët Hennessy, Cadillac, and the NBA—most recently co-designing the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award. Beyond the canvas, she brings her art to life through her home décor brand, Talley Marxx & Co.,making her creations a part of everyday spaces.
