New Delhi-based alternative hip-hop artist shauharty is set to take the stage at the #IMDAwards26 Delhi Showcase on May 1st at Social, Saket, performing with his four-piece band shauharty & Da’ rookhs.
Known for honest, inward-looking writing and a sound that avoids convention, the 22-year-old draws from hip-hop, jazz, soul, and experimental textures to reflect identity, displacement, and growing up as a misfit in India. His 14-track independent mixtape Farookh, his most personal statement yet, is built around four themes: ego, pleasure, identity, and acceptance, playing like a coming-of-age record focused on vulnerability and reclaiming artistic independence.

for those of you who have heard the song “Sabaa” on Newly Aged - it’s named after Sabaa Didi, who takes care of each of our homes including the @indimints.arthouse . she has been a constant support to us over the last 5 years, loves making cat reels, and makes the best mutton shami kebabs.
her brother recently had an accident and is in hospital, and their family needs money to get by for the next couple of months. we have decided to do a fundraiser for them to help out in whatever way we can - so green park will play alongside shauharty (@nawaaabjaaan ) and @darookhs at a friend’s terrace garden. there will also be merch and art that can be bought. all proceeds will go to Sabaa Didi’s family.
it’ll be a strictly BYOB event, and tickets are very limited since its a small space. the link is in our bio. thank you for helping us and Sabaa Didi out.
