Yesterday’s performance at @brooklynbowl reminded me what true creativity means for a DJ. It’s about putting in the effort and earning your spot on stage alongside the likes of the Pharcyde. Whether there’s an age gap or cultural difference between the crowd witnessing what we do behind these turntables and us, the 10,000 hours of practice and reinvention we’ve dedicated to our craft won’t let us fall for the “hot takes” of these new Fratboy DJs. We refuse to buy into the idea that audiences “don’t want to hear scratching” anymore, because @thexecutioners ’ philosophy is that the way you play music should be rooted in authenticity and personal expression, creating a lasting, resonant connection that going viral hardly ever achieves.
Huge thanks to the Pharcyde for having us out! It’s truly an honor to open for a group that inspires us so much. To @brooklynbowl , thank you for the opportunity to step onto your stage. We had a blast.
Special thanks to our crew - agent @focusednoise for creating this incredible opportunity for @daoddcouple , road manager @djmozdef , stage manager @djmarks09 , and videographer @helin.alicia . Last night wouldn’t have been the success it was without your support.
Much love to @doctor_polygon , @bigfer357 , @brooks____b , @hwmk , @afrofugees , @elena_lovable , and everyone else who attended last night’s show. We appreciate your ongoing support for real DJing!
Peace!
Pulled up to D.C. on purpose.
To support.
To connect.
To be in rooms where the energy is right.
Showing love to my brother @djdubdotcom at his first Flavor Summit… @1200.flavors
and the day before, catching The Odd Couple do what they do best.
One of those “you had to be there” moments.
Bucket list checked.
Real connections.
The kind you don’t take for granted.
This is what it’s really about.

🔥Get ready for a one-day collision of sound, style, and culture. The Flavor Summit kicks off April 12, 2026, transforming The Garage at R-House in Baltimore into a living, breathing celebration of hip-hop’s global creative force.
At the heart of the day is an exclusive, in-depth conversation with legendary DMC Champion DJ Rob Swift of the X-ecutioners—also founder of the Brolic Army Online DJ Academy and one-half of Da Odd Couple with Mista Sinista—as he breaks down his powerful new book, The City of Hip-Hop. Expect stories from the front lines of DJ culture, insight into the art of turntablism, and reflections on how hip-hop continues to shape cities, movements, and identity around the world.
But this isn’t just a talk—it’s a full-scale cultural experience.
Throughout the day, the Garage at R-House will pulse with:
Awards honoring champions in music, art & culture
Live MCs & DJs spinning everything from classic breaks to future-forward beats
A Producer Showcase featuring Loopdiggaz & The Machinists
