ICE OUT FUNDRAISER 🧊🚫
In 2020 I was stopped by ICE. It wasn’t my first run in, but every day since I wished it was my last. I was incredibly lucky. I’m half white, exclusively speak english, had several forms of id on me, and my white partner was nearby. But this proximity to whiteness and privilege has never fully protected anyone. It was fuck ICE with my whole heart then, and a bigger FUCK ICE now.
I initially made ‘Weight of the World’ as a response to the overturning of Roe v Wade. It seems like every week the illustration applies to more and more systemic injustices and issues. For my very first round of riso prints, I’m donating all proceeds to the Immigrant Defense Project ( @immdefense ). It is a small boost towards the amazing work they accomplish with protecting our neighbors. Prints are available on my site & linked in bio.
Our voices matter. Our people matter. Be a neighbor and support one another. Without community and love there is nothing. Together, we are America.
