Hi, I’m Em! I’m an artist, illustrator and designer making work in Florida. I use my craft to depict the magic inherent in daily life and universal human experiences like loss, fear, healing and self empowerment. I like to think my work exists in its own unique universe, where all my creations cohabitate together and create a life of their own. I hope when you find it you see a piece of yourself in it.❣️
I couldn’t be more excited about this washi tape ❤️🐇🚗I’ve been having fun testing out different ways of making products and so far this is my favorite! Let me know if you want some: link in bio or at emthecreative.com/shop

What’s your favorite piece from my latest mini paintings? ALSO what objects or creatures should I paint in my next series? I’d love to paint objects of affection for you ❤️
A little something different from my normal work! Fun, splotchy, bleedy vases from some of my daily drawings this past week. I want to recreate these on a reallllllly big scale, let me know if you’d want one.
Also‼️ follow my Substack if you want to keep up with my silly sketches. Link in bio.

If you haven’t seen the new window mural at @mixedfillingspieshop , you need to stop by ASAP. 🎨
This colorful, creative piece was recently painted by @emthecreative , and it beautifully captures the heart of what Mixed Fillings offers: amazing food, community, and a welcoming space for everyone.
It also adds such a vibrant touch to the street running right along the courthouse; it’s a bright spot in the best way. 🌈
Go check it out, and don’t forget to follow @emthecreative to see more of her incredible work, including others around Jax!
In an effort to create a habit of making art daily I’m doing a 365-day drawing project! The goal isn’t good work, it’sconsistency. Ugly drawings and bad ideas count (gotta get those out of the way), a quick sketch before bed on a difficult day counts. Missing a day is also ok, though not more than one in a row.
Follow my Substack(link in bio) if you wanna see more daily drawings and read my thoughts on them 😙 I’m mostly keeping it for accountability and as a personal journal of the year.
Sketchbook Archives no. 3
Pretty sure this is a cover up. I paint over a lot of my original sketches because admittedly I do want my sketchbook to be *beautiful* but,,, in an ugly way
Used some pigment sticks and gouache for this one
PSA: Make art with your friends. Seriously.
@leximire and I had the best time putting together this felt banner for the @corkartsdistrict Open Studios. I’m endlessly grateful for the opportunity to make things with someone as wonderful as her — sketching, ideateing, and sipping way too many cups of tea while this little banner baby came to life. Hanging out in her studio and watching her work her magic to bring the banner to life was a delight!
GICLEE PRINTS ARE HERE YALL!! Serving up three of my favorite pieces from years past in a 12x16 and 18x24. The quality is immaculate. They are printed on museum-quality, cold-press paper for that good texture and archival inks that capture every single detail! These truly feel like you were holding the original. Signed with my own tears of joy 🥲 Link in bio!!

Season 1, Episode 1 of the yellow sketchbook. I’ve been working in this squre Leuchtrum sketchbook for over two years and I’ve rarely shown it to anyone, until now, and I’m officially inviting YOU to the archives.
I started this book while living in nyc for a month in 2023 and I can finally say all her pages have been scribbled on. This book is where I found my love for oil pastels.
This is a piece I did ages ago of my dog, Bird. He’s very sweet, but also quite stinky. And now he is immortal on paper.
