It's New York for ALL, not New York for some. If @govkathyhochul and the NY Legislators are serious about protecting New Yorkers from ICE's violence, then they *must* prohibit law enforcement from colluding with #ICE to tear families and communities apart. They must pass #NY4All
Despite the talk about "protections against ICE," New York @govkathyhochul 's budget immigration package rips the heart out of the New York for All Act by continuing to allow law enforcement to funnel New Yorkers to ICE. But here's what we say to that: We're not done. We're going to continue fighting for #NY4All until the end of the legislative session to ensure that all New Yorkers have the safety, dignity, and due process everyone deserves.
Last week New York Governor @govkathyhochul announced a budget immigration package that includes what she calls "protections against ICE" but here's the truth: her package doesn't prohibit the use of state and local resources - including law enforcement - from being used to collude with ICE to target, detain, and deport immigrant New Yorkers.
