We’re honored to be featured in @nytimes in “What to See This Spring at Museums Across the Country.” ✨
“Ali Banisadr: The Alchemist” at the MFA highlights the artist’s richly layered work, shaped by his childhood in Tehran during the Iran–Iraq War and his experience of synesthesia—where sound and memory transform into vivid visual language. As noted, his paintings bring together “colors and shapes” that echo aural memories of a war-torn landscape, creating dynamic, immersive worlds.
On view through July 12. Plan your visit: mfastpete.org

We are saddened to share the passing of artist Reginald Madison (1941–2026).
A painter and sculptor with roots in Chicago’s Black Arts Movement, Madison developed a singular abstract practice shaped by decades of experimentation, material exploration, and a deep connection to music—especially the improvisational spirit of jazz. His work was guided by intuition, often allowing materials and process to lead the way.
We are honored to have his work “Fandango” (2019) in the MFA collection, a piece that reflects his enduring engagement with rhythm, movement, and abstraction.
Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who were touched by his work.

Milan, you were incredible. 🇮🇹
MFA Art Patron Trip ~ Italy 2026
We’ve spent the last few days completely immersed in the city’s range—from the massive, industrial scale of Pirelli HangarBicocca to the quiet, classic halls of the Pinacoteca di Brera. There is something so special about seeing how Milan effortlessly balances its deep history with such a sharp, modern edge.
A few favorite moments:
• Getting lost in the contemporary spaces at Fondazione Prada.
• Taking in the views at the Duomo and the absolute stillness of the Ambrosiana.
• A quiet moment spent with Leonardo’s Last Supper.
• The long dinners filled with amazing food and even better conversations—truly the best group to be traveling with.
It was the perfect start to the trip, but now we’re officially off to Venice! 🚤
