“Becoming, Again” An old piece, seen through new eyes. A reminder that growth isn’t a one-time thing. We return, we rebuild, we bloom differently each time 🌱

Nomadic Mind (2025) ✨ This piece explores the ever-shifting nature of thought—how ideas, perceptions, and identities wander, evolve, and reshape themselves over time. It reflects on the mind as a traveler, constantly absorbing, adapting, and redefining meaning through experience. The intent is to embrace the fluidity of perception, acknowledging that no thought or perspective remains static. Instead, they move like a nomad, gathering fragments of understanding along the way. 🌱 “Nomadic Mind (2025)” Digital Illustration, Edition of 6, True Matt Hi-White 230gsm 290 x 390mm DM me if you’re interested!✨ #Art #DigitalIllustration #Perception #NomadicMind #WanderingThoughts #Introspection #ArtisticExpression #EvolvingPerspective #illustration #processvideo #poetry

Another piece titled “ Knock Knock (2024)” created for the “In the eyes of others” exhibition ✨ I explore the complexity of perception, highlighting how personal experiences shape our understanding. This piece navigates the interplay between the viewer and the artist, focusing on elements like the ego and the core self. The intent is to recognize the observer’s perception as an art form, appreciating the richness of diverse perspectives without threatening the existence of those being observed 🌱 “Knock Knock (2024)” Digital Illustration, Edition of 6, True Matt Hi-White 230gsm 290 x 390mm DM me if you’re interested!✨ #Art #DigitalIllustration #Perception #Ego #CoreSelf #ArtisticExpression #DiversePerspectives

A closer look at ‘In my Hands (2023)’, a series created for the Beyond the Bounds exhibition last year. This artwork speaks of my experience with clay, a new skill I hope to explore further 👀🪴 Also…wrote a little poem to go with it… In my hands, the past finds release As I sculpt a future, filled with peace From what was, to what can be In my hands, I found my truest free In my hands, change takes hold A story of growth, beautifully told In every touch, a world takes form In my hands, the cold feels warm In my hands, both strong and kind The power to heal, the strength to bind Where time stands still, a silent start In my hands, I hold my heart In my hands (2023) Digital print on True Matt Hi-White 230gsm 297 x 420mm (A3) Only 2 editions left, framed DM me if you’re interested! ✨

Exploring new realms of creativity 🎨 I’ve been taking breaks from the digital grind to dive into traditional mediums. It’s been so refreshing to experiment with abstract pastel art while soaking in @orlastevens insights on personal expression. Switching off the mind, letting creativity flow organically - highly recommended!🌟

In my hands (2023) 🏺 A series created for the Beyond the Bounds exhibition at the @now_gallery_openwindow - A showcase of artists from different disciplines pushing their boundaries 💥 I decided to try pottery for the first time and created an artwork that illustrates my experience of the process. I had so much fun with this new medium and will definitely create more work with clay in the future ✨

Got to visit @zeitzmocaa earlier this year and was taken away by an exhibition titled ‘When We See Us: A Century of Black Figuration in Painting’. This exhibition was centred around themes such as The Everyday, Joy and Revelry, Response, Sensuality, Spirituality and Triumph and Emancipation. When We See Us highlights relationships between artists and artworks across geographic, generational and conceptual contexts ✨

Hello! 🌿 I'm Daniella, a South African-based illustrator passionate about exploring the world of poetry. I find inspiration in natures constant transformations and the unpredictable dance of time, especially its twists and turns. Outdoorsy at heart, I've found beauty in life's simplest moments, cherishing the subtle joys. I have a peculiar obsession with every shade of blue, a reflection in my work. Perhaps, it's a metaphor for life's 'blues,' a comfort I find in its depths 🌊 Words are my constant companions, guiding me on the journey of self-discovery. Im excited to explore the fusion of illustration and poetry in my creative experiments (I even coined a new term - 'illustry' - it just felt right!)✨ If you're as excited about art as I am and you'd like to collaborate on any projects, feel free to drop me a DM. I can't wait to share this creative adventure with you! 🎨✨ #ArtAndWords #NatureInspired

Flood (2022)🌊 . eyelids flicker at the full moon heavy water fills the horizon floating thoughts consume the earth bits and pieces of what we call memories sink the storm has stilled after dreams catch waves broken rooftops remind us of what once was home a place where comfort dwelled deeply rooted so we thought watching our anchor drift away with the current home was never a permanent place, but a feeling ever-flowing internal safety keeps us above deep blue waters flooding our hearts with peace
