I had hoped yesterday would feel like a resolution, a sweet bow that we tied together until next time we could unwrap it. Instead, I left feeling at a loss, as if no amount of time would’ve been enough and if I had my way, the morning would’ve stretched infinitely on in catharsis, in connection, in cheering one another on, in space with the people and practice that keep my heart and body afloat in this life. 🛟 My mind may be stuck in the sense that these sensations and times together are fleeting but I know it is a tremendous gift to feel so wildly, to love in an endless way, to have so much to return to.

MAR 18 9:30-11:30AM RASCAL RANDI // FREMONT ABBEY Floorwork | Open Level *Presented in Collaboration with UNDERCURRENT Omega Flow Floorwork is a class that dives into the world of hip hop and club style Floorwork. It is open to all styles and levels, building on floor foundation, understanding weight shifts between upper and lower body, exploring creativity and building strength to expand your possibilities on the floor! Class structure is a warm up, building blocks to upperbody centered moves, exercises for priming the necessary muscle groups, across the floors and ending with creative time to explore. Randi “Rascal” Freitas started her dance journey as a bgirl over 10 years ago in a Rec Center with her first crew, Street Stylez. Originally from the Bay Area, she made her way to Denver, Colorado and is now living in Los Angeles, working as a professional freestyle dancer, and battling both locally and outside LA. She is the newest member of The Beat Freaks as well as Substance Over Hype. Randi has toured Japan performing in a theatre show called “The Battle” alongside bboys Ynot and Wicket. She is currently the Associate Choreographer of The Hip Hop Nutcracker, which tours the United States and Canada, while also performing in the role of the Mouse Queen BGirl. Randi performs with an outreach program called Universoul Hip Hop, bringing hip hop into schools for assemblies and after school curriculum. Some of her other credits to date include Jimmy Kimmel, The Ellen Show, Nike, Anthropologie, Toyota, AT&T, The Emmy’s, and Kaytranada. In addition to performing, she is the co-founder of a battle called The Dance Fight and is active in the underground battle world. Randi currently teaches at Movement Lifestyle, a professional dance studio in LA.
