We’re proud to share a new work by Stace Gill and Maria Nilsson Waller, whose collaboration was sparked at D-LS, where they first met. Since then, they have continued working together, developing the contemporary dance platform Flora Fauna Project.
The Peace Process is a durational, immersive work blending dance, music, film and installation — exploring cycles of conflict, connection and the ongoing work of peace.

As part of the Dublin arts scene, D-Light Studios stands with The Complex and Ormond Quay Studios. These spaces have been vital for artists, creatives, and the wider community, offering room to experiment, collaborate, and showcase incredible work.
Let’s not allow another cultural space in Dublin to be erased.
In an era dominated by AI, screens, and social media, having real, physical spaces where people can gather, connect, and create is more important than ever. These environments offer something irreplaceable: a sense of freedom, authenticity, and human presence that no digital platform can replicate.
DCC and politicians must not stand still!

Last week, DCC requested that we remove all our remaining belongings from D-Light Studios by the end of this week. Whatever is left behind, DCC will throw into a skip.
We managed to sell many items and store some with friends, but there are still valuable things in the studio that might be of use to someone - including a large stock of BLOW Photo, some furniture, and photography backdrops.
We will be in the building on Sunday, 14 September, from 2pm to 5pm. Please feel free to visit us one last time and collect anything you may find useful.
After 15 years, my dream of D-Light Studios came to an unexpected end. This lively and independent cultural space was one of many that had to close recently in Dublin.
These initiatives weren’t faceless institutions. They were homes for creativity, resilience, and community. Real people nurtured them, and now they are heartbroken.
From D-Light’s ending came ‘’Echoes of a Dream’’. It’s a personal yet universal meditation on grief, loss, and new beginnings. It reflects on holding on, letting go, and the fragile hope that follows change.
I dedicate this project to those who have fostered similar initiatives - art studios, markets, clubs, cultural hubs. They boldly pursued their vision and put everything into building and protecting their dreams. I SALUTE YOU ALL!

DCC now has full control over the building, and we’ve only been granted access from 25th–27th April. All item pickups and dispatches must happen within that window.
In March 2025, without warning, DCC forcibly changed the locks at D-Light Studios, dismantling a vital cultural space it should have protected.
We were given no renovation timeline, alternative space, storage, compensation, or lease. Dublin lost yet another creative hub - one that for 15 years provided a home for artists, inspired the community, and brought people together. Jobs were lost, and a thriving organization was left in debt.
DCC’s actions not only erased a space for cultural growth but also cut people off from their workplaces, income, and hopes for the future. After years of negotiations, it is now clear - DCC never intended to support or even allow D-Light to exist…
For those who have never visited D-Light - or wish to revisit it - we've prepared a video tour. Our founder, Agata Stoinska, will walk you through the space, sharing its story. The full video is 40 minutes, but even a short watch will give you a glimpse of this unique place.
We would like to thank EVERYONE who stood up for D-Light and helped us through this difficult time. Despite thousands signing petitions, dozens of letters of support, and multiple politicians intervening, DCC remained unyielding - disregarding the very people it is meant to serve and support.
