The Hobbit: An unexpected journey
This book nook is inspired by the beautiful artwork of the facsimile edition of the Hobbit. I made it for @quelug monthly contest and hope to build it physically very soon.
Fun fact. It was my fastest turnaround for completing a MOC: 2 days. I'm now exhausted.

We are so back! This is my most ambitious creation to date. Featuring Gyarados at the Lake of Rage and paying homage to Pokémon HeartGold on the DS.
So many things about this build were challenging, but it all starts with the head. I wanted to nail the look of gyarados the best I could. Then I had to figure out how to secure it onto the card at an angle, to get a dynamic pose. Talking about poses, I can't believe I managed to build the body into that S shape. The sunset, the reflection and the colors are just the cherries on top.
I poured my heart into this. Prior to this I went though a burnout where I stopped doing everything I loved. On top of that I moved 2 weeks ago and couldn't resume progress until late last week. And then my gf gave me a push to make the final sprint (Thank you. I love you and can't thank you enough for believing in me when I didn't. )

Swing bridge over the canal
Inspired by a swing bridge I saw when I was younger in Chambly, QC. Featuring the signature sand green color that is present in so many bridges in QC.

I was supposed to make this for my LUG monthly contest but I ended up being busy. Luckily I managed to whip it up digitally quickly today. It's also my 2nd blender render and I have to say that I'm hooked. Expect more digital builds in the future. 🤖

Brick's Summit 2025 2/2
Here's pictures from Brick's Summit. First some pictures of my builds. And say goodbye to them because next year I'm hoping to bring a new lineup to shows I attend!
Then meet Bob the Croco on 4th slide! Croco was made by @chocobrick77 , @leroux__jp , @papaglop , Mark and I for a building competition using random bricks. And we won!
Finally, I wanted to showcase my favourite builds by @chocobrick77 . He's a very talented builder and seeing his work up close was very inspiring. He's got creativity for days so go give him some love.

Brick's Summit 2025 1/2
It's a wrap for my 2nd and last Lego convention of the year. And what an experience it was. I met, hosted and made a new friend in @chocobrick77 , who is a very talented builder from France. Met @beyondthebricktv and got 3 of my builds shared on their Facebook page! And last, but not least, I met Lego Master @samzbrego who gave my tornado a token of appreciation!
Besides that we played a ton of games (and won a few!). People showed up massively and we all had a blast. I can't wait till next year!

🍰 Chocolate Vanilla (half) cake MOC done for the 1 year anniversary of CuriosityBricks on Instagram.
I didn't talk much about the cake MOC on my cake day post. It's inspired by a plethora of cake MOCs out there. That said I'm particularly proud of having made it in under 2 days, with parts I had at home. No bricklink needed! (Let's ignore for an instant I had to raid a Lego set for 2 white wedged plates 😅)

🎂🎉 Today September 27 marks the 1 year anniversary of my instagram page Curiosity Bricks and I want to celebrate this milestone with you!
Before last year I had never dared to stray away from the instructions booklet. But making MOCs has truly changed my life for the better. For those of you unaware, earlier last year I lost my job and felt lost. I had been struggling months prior with motivation and I felt my career start had not lived up to my expectations. Then I decided to challenge myself and build a giant pikachu during my free time. I had been thinking about making my own Lego creations for a while and this was the perfect time to do so. Fast forward to today and I feel more driven than ever. I hope to be doing this for a long time and I have big dreams to chase after.
I'm also grateful for the new friends I made and I'm excited for those I'll make. Equally, I'm excited to see what you'll achieve. I'm rooting for every one of you! Thank you all for supporting me.

Recently I saw someone use the curved windscreen to make water tides and it inspired me to do the same. The shell is inspired by the Seashells collection design by 2A2A on Lego Ideas.
Thanks @tipsandbuilds and @noble_studs for the fun challenge. Otherwise I'd probably never would have done a yellow and purple build.
