Not going to let a whole month pass before posting this! Another incredible evening at the @culinarycareersprogram benefit at Pier 60. So proud of my brothers @chefchintan and @roni.mazumdar for being honored this year, a true reflection of how far the South Asian diaspora has come in New York’s culinary scene. The energy, presence, and sheer number of Desi chefs in the room told a powerful story. Always an honor to represent and contribute to an organization that continues to open doors and create opportunities for the next generation. A huge thank you to everyone who showed up and donated, helping surpass our fundraising goals! And major love to my amazing team and volunteers who absolutely crushed it, serving seared scallops for 600+ guests. What an electric night! [CCAP, Culinary Careers Program, NYC food scene, Desi chefs, South Asian chefs, hospitality industry, NYC chefs, fundraiser, Pier 60, culinary excellence, next generation chefs, chef life, restaurant industry, food and wine, hospitality life, seared scallops, giving back, NYC dining, Indian chefs, diaspora stories, culinary event, food community, fine dining, mentorship, culinary leadership, chef community, nonprofit gala, culinary education, New York hospitality, electric night]

From competitions to benefits, our students and alumni show up looking and feeling like the future of the industry, because they are! A huge thank you to our incredible partners at Chef Works (@chef_works ) for outfitting Culinary Careers Program's students across the country with professional chef gear that helps them step into kitchens, competitions, and events with confidence. These uniforms represent so much more than apparel, they represent professionalism and belonging in the culinary world. We’re especially grateful for the partnership and generosity of Louis Shaban (@louisshaban1966 ). Last photo: Louis' birthday cake when we celebrated together at the 2026 National Benefit. Chef Works, thank you for believing in C•CAP! 🎉 #CulinaryCareersProgram #CCAPBenefit #ChefWorks #DressForTheJobYouWant #ChefUniform

Chef Haydee Collado (@chefhaydee ) is bringing her story — and her cooking — to the 2026 Culinary Careers Program Los Angeles Gala this Friday, May 15. ✨ A proud C•CAP alum, Marine veteran, pilot, educator, and chef, Haydee’s journey is a testament to the life-changing power of opportunity, resilience, and community. Teacher Appreciation Week is here and at Culinary Careers Program, we know our educators do more than teach. They open doors. Every day, culinary educators bring our programming to life in classrooms across the country, equipping under-resourced students with real skills, confidence, and pathways into food & hospitality careers. This week, turn your appreciation into action: 💙 Thank your culinary educators; comment below and tag them!
💙 Support their classrooms, whether that’s advocating for public school funding, donating supplies, or showing up for local programs. Link in bio for resources. 💙 Support professional development, like the C•CAP Teachers Conference, where culinary educators come together to bring even more back to their students.
