Gaby (known online as ctrlshiftg) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Taguig, Philippines. Whether singular or shared, they hope to make meaning of experience through collage, illustration, and basically any silly thing you could do on the computer.
Kittybug Press features the work of Filipino women and LGBT+ artists. We run a free riso initiative every year to provide accessibility to the medium.

the concept of sining shelter began with an ep recorded in a basement with one floor electric fan, a year before we even held our first gig.
now it's become a semi-regular show spot with a few electric fans trying and failing to keep air circulation going in a living room and repurposed dining area full of people enjoying music.
first, i have to thank the team. the crew. the family. everyone, you know who you are, you're always there for the space and the people who use it. you believed me when i said i saw the potential of a rundown spot like ours to be something that art in the south sorely needs. here we are a year later, hoping to turn that year to many more.
second, i have to thank the organizations that have held events in our space. to the panikis, to calm lake, to tfl, to the drain night crew, to bigtimetado/smolprod/tsc, to dakila/movies that matter/active vista, to zild, and to everyone who helps us organize the events that we put up ourselves. shelter would be nothing without how you've transformed it.
third, to the many artists that have performed and held pop-ups, sining shelter is for you. you are the reason this space exists in the first place, and we hope to continue to be a welcoming and accomodating space for all of you to express yourselves and your messages.
last, and definitely not least, to the audience, you are what keeps shelter going. your support is what makes or breaks the day-to-day of this space, and we wouldn't be able to keep going without the immense support you have given us.
we hope to keep serving you. we hope to keep building a diy space and community where people can express themselves and enjoy good company. we strive, and will continue to strive, to be inclusive and fair place for anyone with a vision for events and the passion to work can create, build, exist. we want to be a second home for plucky, upstart artists and anyone brimming with inspiration.
we want to make sure that sining shelter can live up to its name.
thank you for this first year, and here's to more years to come.
