We welcome the wrong.institute for our 2026 Open Studio program. wrong.institute will transfigure and transform archive materials into new forms, gestures, and sounds. Facilitated through a durational format, their residency will lead towards a collective body of work.
The residency begins with a wrong.orchestra project led by et alt, to explore, restore, and deconstruct Jorge Vargas’s vinyl collection to create alternative sound artifacts.
The Open Studio program supports partner artists by giving them time and space to develop and work on their ongoing projects. The program seeks to support artists in bringing their ideas to life, connecting them with museum visitors, sharing their works-in-progress, and having them participate in conversations.
