Artist Interview: @jashimjashimjashim JASHIM: REWRITING SYSTEMS AT CTRL+ALT FESTIVAL “A system written by men can always be unwritten.” From Afro-Colombian roots to Montréal’s underground scene, JASHIM is rewriting reggaeton through cybernetic sound, underground culture, multimedia art, and political storytelling. This year was definitely something 🫶🏽✨ Traveled three times for djing ✈️ Got many great opportunities from fabulous collectives ❣️ Learned from mistakes and from wonderful people 📖 Lost and mourned people’s presence in my life 🥀 Gained and cherished fulfilling friendships 👯 Discovered myself and so many talented/inspiring artists 🌎 Fell in love 🤍 Got to spend time with my family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 A big thank you to everyone who have believed in me, who keep supporting me and who show up in ways that are meaningful for me 🫶🏽 I see you, appreciate you and would not be where I am without you. Sweet Like Honey 2025 Wrapped 🍯✨ 34 events. Countless hours. A jam packed year of building lesbian/sapphic, queer, and BIPOC spaces with intention and care. I am left feeling exhausted and sore, but deeply reminded of why community matters so much. Sweet Like Honey isn’t just parties, but it’s about making room for joy, connection, representation, resistance and a lil desire sprinkled in. Thank you to everyone who showed up, showed out, trusted this vision and spoke our name with love.
