Had an unbelievably fun time at @cropcons in Austin Texas this last week! Got to hang with some great design buds and met so many new ones. Huge thanks for @staygrayponyboy for having me and making me feel so welcomed. Shoutout to you if we got to hang out all week, chat at all, high fived, pounded beers, grabbed a sticker pack, took a picture, knew my name and came to say hey and talk design with me. AUSTIN ROUNDUP: ATX, you and your tacos are always good to me. @staygrayponyboy you’re even better. Thanks for having me down, bringing together the very best people the design and illustration world have to offer; and reminding me what a beautiful thing it is to get to draw pictures and play with letters for a living. Money is nice, but the job’s always just a means to make friends and party; you provide that to scores of folks yearly. You, @staygrayponygirl and the @cropcons team do a thankless job and the investment of time and heart into @cropcons is apparent in every small detail and only grows every year. Living my life in front of a screen isn’t healthy at all, but getting to hang with the people on the other side of it from time to time always makes it worth it. @jondenjackson @youngjerks @oliverbarrett lookin’ at you real hard right now. It’s been way too long. To everyone else I got to mix it up with, the usual suspects and new friends; I’m in your debt and thank you. Also I guess this is the year I point in pics a lot and make a face like I got caught stealing a cookie? It’s fine. TLDR. Sorry. A lot of airport time right now. Maybe we should do it again in Cleveland America sometime. Who knows…
