Memories and Fortunes @ How Bazar A La Carte Tampa - 11/22/25 This group art show was such a fun challenge and opportunity! Huge thank you to @the.how.bazar and @lailoosha 🤗 and @attic.cat for recommending me! Artists were asked to reflect and look back, look within, and look forward to the future. I was amazed to see how many themes, colors and symbols echoed through the work of 17 different creators. Some of this art was on display for the first time ever and some artists had never presented their work in a show at all! So so grateful they decided to put themselves out there. Everyone that entered the room was captivated and I enjoyed hearing everyone’s reflections as they spent time with each painting, print, sculpture, and photo. There’s a virtual gallery available if you want to take a closer look at any of these pieces and contact info if you’d like to add an available piece to your collection. Just click the link in bio! @artwizardabbey @lrys.wrld @maticgun @taroghost @Spendasmith2 @MarsNewWorld @catherinesprit @jas.elle @studiolizdhan @janglywangly @anjulie.dorathea @Zeitoon_studio @cherry_hybrid @camz.canvas @joyscout.mo @passionpowerhouse

A Guide for Blocked Artists 1. Separate the voices of censorship from your own voice so you can hear your creative mind and spirit with clarity. 2. Your fear is not a reflection of your artistic ability or the impact of your work. It’s an expression of a need for support, or compassion or encouragement or self confidence or faith. 3. Your creative self, your inner artist is tired of being packed away and picked up when you want the thrill of creativity. They want to play and explore more. Protect them from negativity. 4. Start 🫂✨🌟💛🧡🌻 I made my first zine! Everyday I write at least 750 words in my morning pages. It’s a practice I started with The Artists Way by @juliacameronlive which was recommended to me by @goodmorningtae . I made this zine with just a few of the words I’ve written when I start the day. This is the order that they showed up for me but if you’re feeling really blocked in your creativity I recommend skipping straight to 4 then working your way backwards. #zine #creativeblock #writing #zentangles #theartistsway #morningpages

Huge thanks you to @the.how.bazar @diondiarecs @bigcaaf @lailoosha @notthemama__ @craftingcare_ @comicsworkshop @zeitoon_studio @leafexisting @cafevoltaire.gnv This was only possible because of how you showed up and supported the space and my ideas for the weekend. There were so many exciting artists so see and things to do throughout the weekend so it really warmed my heart whenever anyone came to hang out and create/vibe in the space. I met so many cool people from near and far and you all turned a weekend in a coffee shop into a time I’ll never forget 🥹 🤗

San Francisco International Airport was not just covered with art, they had an entire museum @sfomuseum . The Women of Afrofuturism exhibit curated by Ingrid LaFleur featured holographic art and animation by Celia C Peters, Digital Art by Nettrice Gaskins, novels and records from afrofuturistic authors and musicians, words by Alisha B Wormsley that became a battle cry, and apparel by Afatasi the Artist and Professor D. Denenge Duyst-Akpem. The collection was a recounting of the creators that dared to imagine a future for black people and introduction to the artists that continue that legacy. Like Octavia Butler, the mother of Afrofuturism said: “Whether you were a part of the greater society or not, you got to write yourself in.” For more on my thoughts and the pieces in this collection comment GALLERY TOUR for a full walk through.

Big is going to be an energetic weekend of art + creativity 🤩 BUT, we wanted to create space for you to decompress and reset throughout the festival so that you can feel comfy at Big! So thanks to our neighbors at @cafevoltaire.gnv , we are turning their sweet coffee/crepe/wine cafe into the Big Decompression Space 🧘‍♀️ Then our amazing friend, @creatingcato , joined the Big team as our “Calm Coordinator“ and immediately made the decompression space into a major highlight of the festival 🥹 I mean… look at this thoughtful schedule of arts+crafts, workshops and activations 😌 So remember, if you get overwhelmed at Big because of the high energy - or if you just want a little change of pace - pop over to the Decompression Space for some cozy, creative vibes! Thank you @cafevoltaire.gnv and @creatingcato 💌 And shoutout to all the amazing people adding their energy to the Decompression Space 🫶 @kardiyayoga @comicsworkshop @civicmediacenter_ @zeitoon_studio @lovinjustice

Working on some more upcycled vinyl art and record shelves for Zine Fest on Saturday. It’s been really fun to see my doodle art on more surfaces than paper. See you Saturday 11-3 @ Gibbs Community Library?

Collages and bread I made recently. Its fun to pick up notes of color to make something new. Fun to turn flour and water into something tasty and shareable.

My first time in Paris! My first time out of the states at all! Since this was a short trip for work I spent more time in the office than exploring but still managed to have a great time! A few highlights: - seeing Tour Eiffel for the first time - meeting up with @mogwai15 and a bunch of great dancers like @vicky._.t._ and @ghostdiasse thanks to the guidance from @deeps.rollerskate - sharing zines and original songs and hearing from other songwriters @ La Cave Café Open Mic hosted by @amykmusic and meeting @james_h_jewell and @chri.snewens - feeling like I matched the style of the city with the great pieces styled for me from @valhallatampa - becoming a regular at a local cafe @terresdecafe and grabbing lunch with friendly folks there - @tiah_bee helping me translate a song from english to french - meeting colleagues that I’ve been working with remotely for years for the first time IRL - every.single.thing I ate - skating under the Tour Eiffel - my friends and my vet making sure my sweet kitty Yo was taken care of after a health emergency - stumbling upon a number of lovely shops and getting a new fountain pen - getting international travel tips from @chloehobbs_x who says I would love Berlin so its on the list 📝 - practicing my french language speaking and comprehension!!! A lot of people complain about French people being rude but I think being polite/honoring cultural norms like greetings, please/thank you, and goodbye goes a long way. Everyone that I spoke to was patient and kind! I shared many smiles with people passing by and made connections I hope to revisit! I’ll be back again soon for work or leisure and take more time. Even more so -je prete voyager tout le monde! I’m ready to travel everywhere!
