International Typographic Style poster tribute using RM Neue.
RM Neue is available in five weights – Light, Regular, SemiBold, Bold, and Black – each with matching oblique italics, RM Neue supports an extensive range of languages via its Latin Extended A unicode set. For even greater control, variable font technology enables precise fine-tuning, giving users seamless access to any weight or style they need.
The ascenders in RM Neue match the height of the capitals, prompting the addition of a curly serif to the default ‘l’ for better distinction from the capital ‘I.’ OpenType features provide access to an alternate single-storey ‘a,’ a simple ‘l’ without the serif, an alternate ‘G’ and ‘R,’ offering additional flexibility.
Striking at display sizes and highly legible in text, RM Neue is a workhorse sans-serif that combines distinctive personality with professional functionality.

Following on from my previous design exploration into military-inspired typography, this experimental typeface was inspired by the bold identification lettering painted onto USAF aircraft during the Second World War. Built from references of hand-rendered fuselage markings, maintenance stencils, and military serial codes, the design explores the balance between utility and character, where legibility and function shaped every form. Rather than recreating a historical typeface directly, this project reinterprets the visual language of wartime aviation into a contemporary experimental font system.

Altform is a solid and deceptively simple sans-serif family with a distinctive alter ego. Combining the neutrality of a geometric sans with the personality of a grotesque, Altform has universal appeal. On closer inspection, its subtle details, like the exquisite curves in characters such as ‘R,’ ‘t,’ and ‘k’ reveal a sophisticated and recognisable character.
This seemingly straightforward typeface transforms through its OpenType features, offering 11 stylistic sets that enable alternate shapes for a tailored look. Among these are the “wind-blown” alternates for ‘d,’ ‘i,’ ‘j,’ ‘l,’ ‘u,’ and ‘y,’ which feature slight curvature in the stems for a dynamic quality. Other notable alternates include a single-storey ‘a’ and ‘y’ for geometric simplicity, as well as options for ‘g,’ ‘J,’ ‘Q,’ ‘R,’ and ‘4.’ Three distinct ampersands, weight-matched arrows, circled numerals, and geometric symbols round out the toolkit, making Altform ideal for complex editorial and branding projects.
Altform is available in seven weights, each with matching italics, ranging from Thin to Black. Its extensive language support spans most European languages written in the Latin script. Variable font technology further enhances its versatility, offering hundreds of weight grades and a custom italic axis that allows users to adjust the slant angle between 0° (upright) and 10° (default italics).

This font was inspired by the hand painted stencil lettering found on military aircraft and airfields where markings were applied quickly, clearly, and with purpose rather than decoration.
