Get in bestie, we’re leaving the trails better than we find them 🥾
This Earth Month, @alltrails and @rei are teaming up to host trail cleanups around the US in tandem with local outdoor orgs, because loving the earth means showing up and putting in the work 💪 After the cleanup, we’re headed to the nearest REI for a community get-together! Sign up and come join us at the link in our bio.
UPDATE: We love seeing how many of you have already signed up! If your local event is already full or you can’t make it to your nearest trail cleanup, bring a trash bag to a local trail, pick up any litter you find, and tag @alltrails and @rei for a chance to be featured! 📸
AllTrails 🤝 trail managers 🤝 you
Our Public Lands Program is the only one of its kind. It’s a digital platform that’s like a one-stop shop for trail managers, who can use it to update route info, share safety alerts, check on trail conditions, and more, making sure everybody is prepared for a great day on the trail ✅
To learn more about our Public Lands Program, check out our Impact Report (our first ever, no big deal) at the link in our bio
Here’s what we built together 🤝
We’re your trusted resource for trail info, but did you know we’ve given back to our trails, the planet, and the people who love them from the very beginning? We’re showing our work over the last year with our first ever Impact Report!
See the steps we’ve taken this year, and what’s coming further down the trail, none of which would be possible without the support of our members. Check out our 2025 Impact Report at the link in bio.
Need to be near a waterfall this weekend for our health...no really 🔬🧪
A statistical analysis of 36+ studies found that people who listened to nature sounds reported increased feelings of tranquility and lower levels of stress aftrerwards. So....👀
For a little water therapy, check out one of Vancouver Island’s prettiest waterfall hikes in Little Qualicum, British Columbia. — and honestly such an easy payoff. Walk through sandstone waves and stay for the stars 🌌🏜️
The Coyote Buttes South trail from the Cottonwood Teepees Trailhead in northern Arizona is a 3.9-mile loop through one of the most surreal desert landscapes we’ve ever seen.
It’s a relatively easy hike, but every turn looks like a different planet — striped sandstone formations, swirling rock textures, hidden alcoves, and wide-open desert views the entire way 👀 The area is extremely remote with very little light pollution, which makes for some of the clearest night skies in the Southwest — just be sure to go slow, stay on trail, and pack a headlamp if exploring after sunset✨

Photoshop could never 😨
Oeschinen Lake in Switzerland is a 2.9 mile, moderately challenging loop trail in the Swiss Alps, with sweeping mountain views, waterfalls, and unbelievably turquoise water. Surrounded by towering peaks and glaciers, Oeschinensee is one of Switzerland’s most iconic alpine lakes — and yes, the color is really that unreal ✨

Chasing rainbows AND waterfalls? Don’t mind if we do 🏃💨
Sol Duc Falls Nature Trail is a dreamy 1.8-mile out-and-back hike in Olympic National Park with just 262 ft of elevation gain — and it’s rated easy, making it perfect for families and waterfall lovers alike. Along the trail, you’ll wander through lush old-growth forest before reaching the iconic Sol Duc Falls, where the river squeezes through a narrow gorge and splits into multiple cascading channels. Fun fact: on sunny days, the mist often creates tiny rainbows over the falls 🌈

Ladies and gentlemen...the Firefall 😍
One of Yosemite's most famous sights, the Firefall is the nickname for the stunning natural phenomenon that happens at Horsetail Fall only under specific conditions: in February, when the setting sun hits the waterfall just right, the back light from the sunset creates the iconic “Firefall” effect — a glowing orange cascade that looks like lava pouring off El Capitan.
Luckily, Horsetail Fall is stunning year-round, and there are multiple trails that offer beautiful views of this famous waterfall. Check the link in our bio for an easy 5.8-mile loop that cruises right by!
