First footings take place at our intimate East London loft space Vittoria Wharf, for a sun-soaked, river-side rave up, with the next wave - a secret after party - taking place close by, details of which will be exclusively revealed in the Cortex group chat.
The current good weather has got us feeling proper jolly ahead of this 2-part jolly, so we’re opening the tickets at a very accessible £7 a pop.
Saturday 13 June, Hackney Wick, all aboard!

One month in. The slog is nearly over and the real fun starts now. We are ready to look onto the next dance together. We’re teaming up with Cortex once again to celebrate their 3rd birthday, and it’s genuinely a pleasure to watch how far they’ve come.
From early link-ups to now holding down their own lane, every collaboration’s been about pushing sound forward and backing the right energy. This one feels earned.

VXRGO (@vxrgo__ )
Shirley Temper (@shirley__temper )
Deselecta (@djdeselecta )
SANA (@sanaasuculenta )

The Gallery gets the treatment with a lineup that moves fast and hits wide. Sully bringing those weighty, restless rhythms that sit between jungle, footwork and bass pressure. VXRGO keeping things slippery and low-end driven. Shirley Temper locking into that sweet spot between techno, breaks and house. Deselecta and SANA rounding it out with club-minded selections built for a room that likes to move.
No filler, no nostalgia, just forward-thinking sounds, proper systems and a crowd that’s there for it.
Birthday business. Cause style.

MUSIC: BAILEY IBBS - WE RUN
Three years in and Cortex isn’t just surviving the current cycle. They’re shaping their own path and setting new standards.
Last Saturday felt like a checkpoint as much as a birthday. A moment to clock the distance travelled. From those early link-ups to now holding down a lane that’s unmistakably their own.
The Gallery was alive from the first record. @sanaasuculenta opening the pressure valves with those restless rhythms that twist jungle, footwork and bass into something physical. @vxrgo__ and @djdeselecta sliding through the low-end with that slippery, heads-down energy. @shirley__temper steering the room through that sweet spot where techno, breaks and house blur together. @sully.e64 sealing the circle with selections built for a floor that refuses to stand still.
Three years of Cortex.
There can only be more to come.
