Northwest London multi-hyphenate SIMMS is emerging as a defining voice among a new generation reshaping jungle music.
Blending atmospheric textures, R&B influences and club-driven production, SIMMS’ sound reflects a broader shift in jungle’s evolution, where nostalgia meets forward-thinking experimentation. SIMMS’ latest single “Orbit”, released via the newly launched Passionfruit Records, captures this balance, reworking early-2000s sonic cues into a modern framework.
Having quickly built momentum as both a DJ and producer, earning a loyal following through sets via Foundation FM, Balamii, NTS and Rinse FM, as well as appearances on BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio 6 Music, industry recognition has swiftly followed, with co-signs from key figures such as Shy FC and performances at major cultural events including Notting Hill Carnival.
The Londoner also develops his own visual identity, designing artwork that complements his sonic world.
