I’ll be updating both my website and Etsy shop this week. Main difference is the larger pieces will only live on my website, but both links will be in my bio, and please DM me if there’s anything you’d like but can’t see.
The early evening sun in the garden room casting beautiful shadows on the wall….made me think we should do a further opening evening before we close the show in two weeks time…
April by is flying… as it usually does, so let me check dates and timings and of course the weather- as there is so much going on in Llandeilo with the @llandeilolitfest …. Watch this space, I’ll get back to you soon.
Wyridians by Kate Cornish, bowls by Linda Unsworth, painting by Maria Pierides, plant installation by Mel and Jess @the.naturetable
Here, hare here.
I’m making 77 lagomorphic Wyrdians — ceramic hare figures. Each one will be stamped with a single euphemism from “The Names of the Hare”, the 13th-century Middle English poem that listed every way you might speak of the creature without speaking its true name. The hedge-creeper. The dew-beater. The light-foot. The one who turns to the hills. The Earth Sitter (this one’s already sold).
To name the hare wrong was bad luck. To name it right — all 77 ways — might be something else entirely.
These will be available through the website soon with further Wyrdians added as they are fired over the next month or so. This is the first batch. Each will be unique and I’ll be using a variety of clays and glazes. If you’d like one in any particular colour, please let me know.
