The Secret Bookclub | 20th May | The Magic of Herbs by David Conway
David Conway, is a mystic, magus and author whose clear writing and thoughtful insights have influenced modern literary esoterica since the early 1970s.
Having grown up in the rural Welsh countryside David Conway came to know about the healing arts that relied on a deep knowledge of herbal decoctions, tinctures and poultices. In The Magic Of Herbs, he shares the knowledge of herbs he gained in his early training.
Learning from a master herbalist near his boyhood home, he absorbed the practical and occult properties of the herbs and plants found in the surrounding environment.
In this fabulous read we will take a look at Botanical Medicine, Herbalism & Astrology and The Language of Flowers - Whether you’ve read this before or a first time reader, hate it or love it, you are welcome to join our discussion and learn how to make your own potions & poultices. 🔮

Under the Same Moon ii
This is a space to create intuitively, spend time with yourself, and be part of something gentle and unpretentious - free from pressure or expectation. Whether you come to make, to connect, or simply to take a moment for yourself, you are welcome as you are🪷
🌀this time we’ll be creating pocket altars - small, personal spaces to hold what feels meaningful, instinctive, or quietly powerful - something to ground you, return to, and keep close
You’ll be invited to work intuitively, following what you’re drawn to -colours, textures, charms, and small objects that feel connected to. You’re welcome to bring along any small treasures, photographs, or pieces of fabric to include in your piece, making it even more personal.🪽
🌚You will be gently guided through the process, with space to move at your own pace and create in a way that feels natural to you. Alongside making, there will be tea, conversation, and space to connect -or simply to be in your own quiet flow.
A soft, creative evening rooted in slowness, reflection, and a little bit of magic. 🔮

Secret Book Club | 29th April | Hedge Witch by Rae Beth
Rae Beth was a hedge witch and wildwood mystic. Her books on natural magic and spirituality are widely acclaimed, and she was regarded as an authority on witchcraft. She aimed to assist people to meet with spirits and the faerie realms. Rae was also a psychic counsellor, and her best-selling works include The Hedge Witch, The Hedge Witch’s Way and Spellcraft for Hedge Witches.
Written in the form of letters from an experienced witch to her two apprentices, solitary witchcraft is offered, not as a substitute for coven worship, but as a fulfulling lifestyle in its own right. Rae Beth explains the importance of the Goddess and her consort, the Horned God, as sources of spiritual strength and worship. The author extols the feminine principles of healing and regeneration as well as attacking greed and self-interest which jeopardize the planet’s very future. Rae Beth provides spells for all the key festivals of the witch’s calendar; describes and outlines the Pagan approach to finding a partner. Her lyrical letters, accompanied by delicate pen-and-ink sketches, bring the reader towards a deeper understanding of the solitary witch’s lifestyle and beliefs.
We will explore some of the themes in the book, have a couple of practical elements and talk about wh`at we loved, what challenged us and anything else that we want to share. Whether you’ve read this before or first time reader you are welcome to join us.
Your copy of the book will be available to collect from RONS Coffee House - and Bibi can deliver/post it if you need to, please get in touch.
