I remember the days when Our Own was just an idea, an intention to help kids in our inner city communities have the opportunities to do more and dream bigger. Everything you set out to do you did within the first year and everything that’s come afterwards has been icing on the cake and proof that the sky’s the limit.

When it comes to running.. physically... the odds are STACKED against me. (I’ll get into detail on another post)

We’re exactly 3 weeks away from our biggest running adventure to date, I’m filled with nerves, anxiety, ongoing rollercoasters of emotions and a ton of excitement. Running 340 miles is crazy but I mean.. we’re not called @girlgangcrazy for nuthin’ 🦋

This Friday @ Getty, we’re hooking you up with film cameras!📸☺️ We’ve got courtesy rolls, and partnered with @arthousefilmlab to get everyone’s rolls developed 🎞 (one camera per family, first come first served)
Along with your camera, we’ve got a fun scavenger hunt sheet to help guide children through their photo adventure. Capture special moments, discover hidden details, or take shots of the many exhibits like “Photography and the Black Arts Movement, 1955-85”! Plus, enjoy coloring pages and other creative activities throughout the space - a perfect day of creativity and exploration.

📹 What. A. Day. Our second Working From Outside at The Broad was a timeeee!
@thebroadmuseum hooked us up with full in + out access, so we explored every corner of the museum and set up shop right in the plaza. The kids went all-in with @artsykidss crafts, rocked some fresh @soulmaison tees, while the grown-ups chilled, played, and maybe “worked” a little too 😏
The highlight? Our guy @_ajgirard closing things out with an unreal tour of the Jeffrey Gibson (@jeffrune ) exhibit.🤯Seriously, don’t miss it before it wraps on the 28th.
