Protected (2022) This piece is a portrait of a spirit guide who transforms into a hawk. She has helped me find peace in many parts of my life but specifically in understanding timing. This piece is about trusting yourself and the guidance being provided to you. Who are our spirit guides? What qualities do they harness? What are they trying to tell us?

There’s something really special about spending time with people who’ve known you through so many versions of yourself. Celebrating each other’s milestones, growing in our own ways, and still finding our way back to one another. I’ve known these women for 20 years, and I can’t fully express how much my heart needed this trip…. this sense of safety, softness, and feminine energy. Life’s responsibilities will always try to pull you away from yourself. It’s up to us to remember who we are and intentionally pour back into ourselves. Take a beat. I promise nothing will fall apart.

There’s a short documentary on Artsy Kids featured on the @uscimpact show, now broadcasting on @spectrumnews1socal . So surreal. You can also watch it online (link in bio). Definitely shed a little tear 🥲 S/o @shaay.all.daay Thank you, @behindherlensxo , for the beautiful feature.

Mexico City Zona Maco 2026!!! Owes me not a thing. One of my favorite cities in the world. We saw lots of art, ate amazing food and danced hard. The music was immaculate 🤌🏽 and the company was even better! I also got to see Benito win the super bowl with mi gente. All of my favorite things in one trip! Third time in Mexico City and I will be back again and again.

Power (2024) 24”x30” Power is an exploration of the inherent strength found within femininity, placed against the backdrop of ancestral wisdom. The artwork embodies the notion that our ancestors, beyond transmitting trauma, also passed down invaluable gifts and insights. It serves as a visual testament to the resilience and enduring power encapsulated within the lineage of womanhood, encouraging the embrace of heritage with reverence and pride. Muse: @mysticbru

This painting marked my transition into painting fabrics. I remember getting completely lost in the details… the folds of the robe, the intricate patterns, the type of focus that takes over when everything else fades out. The zone. I took reference photos of my dear friend @mysticbru , and the whole process was playful and so blissful. We had no set plan. She brought some wardrobe pieces that were meaningful to her and we just played. We ended up getting so many amazing photos and landed on this pose for the piece. I’ll be sharing more about the meaning behind this piece soon 🤍

Perseverance (2025) This work honors the women of Trinidad, Cuba, whose artistry and resilience sustain their families and communities. In Trinidad, one of the main sources of income for women is the creation and sale of hand-embroidered textiles. Walking through the streets, you see them proudly displaying their delicate work, often stitching new pieces even as they sell finished ones. This daily rhythm reveals both the relentless demands of survival and the quiet power of creativity. The piece reflects their strength, perseverance, and dedication—showing how an art form born of necessity also holds profound beauty. It is a testament to the resilience of women, and to embroidery as both craft and lifeline. (The dress I am wearing in the last photo was purchased in Trinidad, Cuba from the women referenced)

2025 was a really hard year for me creatively. I finished one painting. One. I’m proud of it. It’s deeply detailed and took me months and months to complete. My relationship with art this past year has been… complicated. I’ve had to get really clear about my intentions behind creating, set boundaries with the outside world, and slowly release the limitations I’ve placed on myself. Throughout my time reflecting, I realize there’s one thing I’m especially proud of: my art has always remained pure. It’s never been shaped by outside opinions or suggestions. I’ve never sold out. I made that promise to myself when I first started, and I’ve kept it. If thats the thing that has limited my growth in the art world then that’s a price I’m willing to pay. This year, I’m committing to building a healthier relationship with my art. I’m letting go of the pressure and creating simply for the sake of creating. Art is the love of my life, so we’re going to figure this out. My intention for the year is to experience places and people that allow me to be the softest version of myself.
