Marcelo (2026) is a sculpture in the form of a storage bed whose structure follows the architectural outline of the Frac MÉCA exhibition space. Closed, and covered with bedsheets co-designed with the artist Jeanne Gilois, it offers an invitation to rest — both for the public and for the Frac MÉCA team.
When opened, the bed reveals a scale model of the exhibition space in which, throughout the duration of the exhibition, the artist placed objects they received as gifts from friends.
After the exhibition, Marcelo is donated to Frac MÉCA to serve as a tool for mediation, experimentation, and rest.
Thank you to Elfi for the initial invitation.
