What began six months ago in Kigali as a casual conversation between two wedding guests wrapped in a traditional Umushanana quickly escalated into an entirely new cycle of work.
And this is how we:
- teach an experimental seminar for Master’s students in Public Affairs, Culture track at @sciencespo Paris: “Simulation: Thinking New Forms of Cultural Production.”
- initiated a related research project on simulation practices, forms of pre-enactment, and their artistic relevance, among others in conversation with the Sciences Po médialab
- unfolded an extensive collaboration for the development and production of @angels_front ’s new body of work, DIE & RETRY, set in a context of cognitive warfare
- are leading a broader reflection on our take on performance art—what it is, what it does, and how it operates—and on ways of affirming it through exchange, initiatives, and community building

“Reverse Propaganda Program”, a workshop created to learn how to reverse engineer propaganda and influence mechanisms by producing them.
Students of Ensad Paris chose to create the **ThankyouKara** group; a brainrot company designed to exhaust and destroy your critical abilities, finally destroying themselves.

DIE & RETRY is a new long-run simulation by @angels_front
It displays the quotidian of a test-family immersed in a near-future cognitive war scenario blurring the line between the real and the virtual, truth and fiction, as it unfolds in real time and real space.
DIE & RETRY was kicked off at @dak in Khouribga, during which psychosomatic researcher and family mother Mara N. invited visitors to try her groundbreaking memory-rewriting procedure during public consultations.
Four students of 1337 excellency coding school in Khouribga, which was built on the abandoned remains of former phosphate mines, took part in the world-premiere experiment and succeeded in reversing past memories and associated strong emotions under the eyes of an incredulous audience.

We’re thrilled to announce that DIE & RETRY enters a new chapter at Fiminco Foundation for a 10-month residency. ✨
Throughout the year, the project will unfold through a series of performances, immersive experiments, and participatory actions, culminating in a one-month live simulation and performance at Les Magasins Généraux, Pantin in October 2026.
Blending gaming, narrative immersion, and live interactive cinema, the work expands our exploration of how disinformation, psychological operations, and algorithmic influence fracture collective understanding and how play, reconstruction, and simulation can allow us to reclaim agency.

💫First step of DIE & RETRY took place during a residency at @providenza_ where we developed a video game–like interface that lets participants engage with their own doppelganger, a double created through deepfake and voice synthesis. Deepfake developed in collaboration with Olivier Bienz @lan.ensad 🕹️

Angels’ Front is casting for DIE & RETRY, the company’s new creation. The project involves live improvisation with audiences and livestream.

🧠 Flora Bouteille, artiste, metteuse en scène et chercheuse, est la fondatrice d’Angels’ Front, une compagnie à la croisée du design d’expérience, de la psychologie sociale et de la spéculation. À La Fabrique des Arts, elle poursuit le projet DIE & RETRY, une simulation immersive questionnant l’influence des technologies sur nos perceptions et nos comportements.
🧵 Asma Ben Aïssa est une artiste visuelle tunisienne dont la pratique tisse des liens entre architecture, textile et mémoire intime. Elle s’inspire des gestes artisanaux féminins et des objets domestiques traditionnels pour créer des œuvres sensibles faites de fils, de transparences et de structures pliées.
💃 Béryl Coulombié vit et travaille à Paris. Son travail mêle danse, performance, sculpture et costume, dans une approche transdisciplinaire. Elle conçoit la scène et le lieu d’exposition comme des espaces poétiques. Sa performance Fontaine (2023) est la première à entrer dans les collections nationales des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

🧠 Flora Bouteille, artist, director, and researcher, is the founder of Angels’ Front, a company at the crossroads of experience design, social psychology, and speculative approaches. At La Fabrique des Arts, she continues the project DIE & RETRY, an immersive simulation questioning the influence of technologies on our perceptions and behaviors.
🧵 Asma Ben Aïssa is a Tunisian visual artist whose practice weaves connections between architecture, textiles, and intimate memory. She draws inspiration from traditional female craftsmanship and domestic objects to create delicate works made of threads, transparencies, and folded structures.
💃 Béryl Coulombié lives and works in Paris. Her work blends dance, performance, sculpture, and costume in a transdisciplinary approach. She conceives the stage and exhibition space as poetic realms. Her performance Fontaine (2023) is the first to enter the national collections of the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
