Atelier Nienē is a design studio based in Trieste, Italy. It explores materials to create objects that merge tradition and innovation, blending local narratives with global influences. Founded by Nicol Belci and Neža Kravos, the studio investigates the transformative potential of materials through a collaborative approach. With shared backgrounds but different paths—Venice to Chile and Ljubljana to Argentina—they both eventually returned to Trieste, where they joined forces to shape a unified design vision. haiku – the art of hanging coats Searching for equilibrium between a solid base and a fluctuating upper piece. The juxtaposition of the two chosen materials enhances the object’s balance: Karst stone, hard and dense, shows the traces of millennia within its essence, revealed through fossils. FLOE x RADIUS Coffee Table Working at the intersection of material research and sculptural practice, Maximilian Beck investigates how casting processes imprint unique traces in glass. His work explores the interplay of light, texture, and raw matter, translating natural transformations into contemporary forms through refined kiln-casting techniques. The presented work is a collaboration between Maximilian Beck and Pablo Octavio, combining the organic, glass-based FLOE aesthetic with the precise metal construction of the RADIUS collection. Lexavala is a Polish experimental design studio founded in 2018 by Jakub Szkaradek. The studio reinvents industrial design archetypes, transforming them into sculptural objects through radical experimentation. Lexavala’s approach to production integrates a hybrid workflow that blends digital precision with analog experimentation and technology. ALYS is a lamp made from cast resin, exploring material translucency as both structure and light filter. Its colourisation is defined by the designer, who controls the saturation and vibrancy of the colour to give the object its distinct presence. The semi-transparent body softly diffuses the source, while the backlit core projects subtle reflections and gradients onto the surrounding wall. The result is a quiet interplay of glow and shadow, a sculptural lamp that transforms space through atmosphere rather than intensity. Dérive is a Warsaw-based design studio working across objects and bespoke spatial installations. The practice focuses on material and process, combining 3D printing with industrial components through experimentation with fabrication methods. Presented work: STRATUM, a spatial lighting structure composed of 14 Nautilus lamps. Blending expressive form with computational design, the piece amplifies the original Bounce Chair through intricate, 3D-printed textures—where narrative, structure, and technology converge.
