Plane Tree Stool on display @comune.obj and @spazioivy for Milan Design Week 2026.
The Plane Tree Stool embraces the visible use of fibreboard, which is already well established in the furniture industry and often goes unnoticed hidden behind bonded wood veneers. To protect our forests while maintaining production capability, we need to make greater use of fibreboards and rethink their aesthetic potential. The graphic elements enhancing the surfaces are inspired by the bark of the plane tree, which peels off the trunk in fascinating shapes.
The contrast between the stoolâs clear geometry of minimalist Japanese joinery and the organic graphic forms creates an elegant tension, bringing a touch of nature into the interior space. Light plays a key role here, as its reflection on the surface transforms the perception of the patterns.
For every stool we sell we will plant a tree with the project wald.de in Germany.

EmDobro- A circula sofĂĄ đď¸
Eco-friendly design does not mean compromise. It is possible to combine appealing aesthetics and high comfort in a truly sustainable productâthis is my redefinition of luxury. EMDOBRO derives its value from timeless design, sustainable materials, high-quality craftsmanship, and repairable components.
Industrial furniture production causes environmental damage and waste problems. The widespread use of PUR foam is particularly concerning, as it takes hundreds of years to biodegrade. To make EMDOBRO a truly circular sofa, the first step was to replace synthetic materials with natural, regenerative, or recyclable alternatives. Additionally, no adhesives are usedâall connections are mechanically assembled and disassembled.
A timeless aesthetic conserves valuable resources: materials, energy, labor, and time. Time that we can use to sit down, take a break, pause, and rest. The images show a prototype crafted using traditional upholstery techniques.
