We’re weighing into the 🇬🇧 Compost Championships with some of the highest grade 💩 we have manifested in the past year!! The Compost Cup is up for grabs in Britain and there’s already some stiff completion like @soilcraftcic and @hayregenerativesoilscic 😬 but really everyone’s a winner as all the local compost makers work together through our Mycelium Network and beyond on a mission to transform our toxic waste culture anyway!! Seriously the #compost cup is an amazing initiative by @soilecologylaboratory and @soilsmiths to demonstrate the truest value of compost = MICROBES 🦠 & specifically microbial #biodiversity We’ve gone all out for this with this entry. This compost is an inter species collaboration!!! 💩🪱🍄🐦🦠🐿️✨ We started by building a state of the art compost loo on a Trialer for our freinds @zofiapage & @formedway_ and collected all their lovely deposits with guidance on how to add and mix our special CARBON mix containing our #biochar If this compost is good enough to win the 🏆 it will help to prove that #humanure is essential to #livingsoil regeneration and recreation which is essential to all of our survival this century… We’re guna have to change our entire sanitation system to fix the big hot mess we’ve made of this beautiful planet 🌍 folks. It’s not going to be easy but it begins by waking up to the value of the microbial realm and changing some critical thinking that we currently believe in… Only those who see the invisible can do the impossible… only by making the invisible visible can we start to change the tide 🌊 and start creating a properly regenertive system for our children and future generations of all species. WE GOTA GET OUR SH*T SORTED OUT!!!

Excited to be speaking @steyningfestival with @patrickholdensft and Rachel @apricotcentre soon about the amplifying the movement to transform our food system. I am going to be speaking up for the rights of our soil biodiversity and everything that depends on it (including us!) to recover, from the relentlessly over extractive and de-naturing economy we find ourselves in… looking forward to speaking with Patrick and the @susfoodtrust whose voices have long been ones I’ve respected.

I’m VOTING GREEN because we have people like @millward_rachel and @greenpartyzack and @carolinelucasbrighton and thousands of hard working green hearted 💚people who have given their lives to changing our political landscape and they deserve all the support we can give them. In this video I share my BIG GREEN💡IDEA for a policy that I would love to see - when we finally have a government locally and nationally that WORKS FOR PEOPLE & PLANET 🌍 (as opposed to keeping everything the f-ing same!!) The simplest idea to replace - VAT for all small businesses with a Carbon Tax for all businesses of any size - this would literally create a new culture where small and ethical social enterprises like @oldtreebrewery and @oldtreesoil could actually grow and help solve social and ecological problems instead of having our entire operating margin taken away to find useless war mongering politicians every 3 calendar months. 🤩 MEDIEVAL INSPIRED BOTANICAL BREWS 📣 Brewer on the left and in picture two, sign master @freya.does.stuff on the right 🫡 Its been a joy witnessing the creation process of all these drinks in @oldtreebrewery - a glorious fermentation of over a decade of experimentation in botanical brewing - blending science and creativity ✨🙌 these are drinks that would make our ancestors proud and it’s an honour to be serving them for @phil.cannaveda and crew behind the Beltane 🔥 Fire and Frivolity festival this weekend with our events team community 🤗 Looking forward to working with you @farawaywithdapixies @tenzinshares @kwazaru7 @daniel.j.g._painting and co. The creation of the Old Tree BELTANE TAVERN 🏰 (aka mainly our gazebo covered in hessian with some cool wooden things and people in medieval ish costume 😂) begins tomorrow! 🍻

What a blast! We had such a gorgeous day at the Globe with the wonderful @compost.tom from @oldtreesoil ,who showed us multiple ways to make biochar. With the sun shining and such a strong sense of community in the air, the day was full of inspiring conversations, shared learning, and plenty of excitement around environmental solutions. A huge thank you to @compost.tom for creating such an engaging space and for being so generous with your knowledge, to @globeathay for hosting us, and to @holland_otik for cooking up some absolutely delicious local, seasonal food. And of course, a massive thank you to National Lottery Awards for All @tnlcommunityfund for supporting this learning and engagement programme. This was the first of six workshops we’re bringing to the community! Each month, we’ll be exploring circular systems, soil biology, composting, and community regeneration. We’re all set up in #oxford town this week serving the drinks for delegates of the @skoll.foundation forum at the amazing Side Bar project with @camerados_org The Side bar is a space for DIALOGUE NOT MONOLOGUE which is close to our hearts and all of the @oldtreebrewery drinks we’re serving here have been prepaid for in support of the breweries recent @crowdfunderuk campaign so the drinks are accessible to everyone. We love serving drinks in specs that can be completely relational and not transactional.
