Twelve years ago someone wrote “imagine a garden” on an abandoned petrol station in Brighton.
Strangers turned up with plants and compost and ideas.
That garden led to a woodland.
The woodland led to a brewery.
And the brewery led to everything that followed!
Since then we’ve been foraging, fermenting and experimenting with delicious creations like Rose petal kombucha. Elderflower wine. Mugwort witchcraft ale. Hawthorn berry shrubs. Nettle lemonade. Hundreds of plants. Thousands of drinks. All from the hedgerows and forests around us.
We live in an edible landscape that is literally medicinal to our human bodies. And most of us walk past it every single day!
This film tells our story. Where we’ve been, where we’re going, and why we need your help now.
It’s make-or-break time for a tiny community brewery trying to prove that a business can give back to the land instead of taking from it.
We don’t want to grow one huge brewery. We want to be one of a thousand tiny ones - supported by a community network sharing learning and helping regenerate the landscapes we depend on.
It’s not creating another franchise. It’s planting a new forest 🌳

Nothing about the human scale and networked based regenerative botanical brewery we’ve been building is easy in this economy - despite how valuable it is.
