Collision Podcast 018 - Patient @patient_dj Matthew Bugeja aka Patient is a DJ and producer from Malta whose journey behind the decks began at an early age, steadily refining a sound rooted in precision and intensity. THIS FRIDAY @dsszclub Step into a night of uncompromising, high-intensity techno, where raw groove meets relentless drive. Expect the unmistakable vinyl energy of @deetronofficial whith @soulmate_it_ project, delivered through a powerful three-deck vinyl performance, alongside the fast-paced, high-impact sound of @fireground__ performing live, and our guys @niktech_official and @sciahri__sublunar @deetronofficial Samuel Geiser aka Deetron, is the rawer and more percussive outlet of Swiss producer, a key figure in the late ’90s and early 2000s club scene. Emerging with releases on Jericho, SuperBra and Phont Music, he helped shape a distinctive techno aesthetic that left a lasting mark on dance floors of the era. Soulmate alias dives into rougher, tribal-driven territory. Rusted piano chords, raw accents and loose hand drums intertwine with hypnotic layers, creating a sound that feels both industrial and euphoric. Over the years, this project has found a home on labels such as Intec, Music Man and, more recently, Ilian Tape, where he has reignited his unmistakable tribalistic energy.Behind the decks, Soulmate translates this identity into an intense three-deck vinyl performance: tribal techno meets soulful grooves in a full-throttle, full-bodied experience — primal, ecstatic and impossible to escape. @fireground__ Fireground is the collaboration of Angela and Daniele, who are predominantly known for their outputof Techno & Electro via their own label R12 Records. The duo from Naples delivered a timeless release for Tresorin 2021 striking a perfect balancebetween atmospheric tribal rhythms of the 90s and early 2000s and more recent forms of brokenambient techno.Since their first release on Tresor Records, Fireground has been constantly honingtheir live set of fast-paced, high-energy techno, which they present at Tresor Club regularly, as wellas other venues across Europe.
