I turned 22 today! Spent it in the mountains outside of Chengdu and also put out some old tracks that i hold dear to my heart! You can listen to them on my Bandcamp or Soundcloud, and also swipe thru the slides if you wanna read a bit about it đ¤
I feel like birthdays are a great way to chapter our lives, and I feel like a lot has changed in this past year for me. I just want to extend my thankfulness to my family and friends, and everyone who listens to my music! Nothing inspires me more than the crazy music world and all the experiences it brings. đťâ¤ď¸
Back and forth between dancefloor and studio. Those gratifying moments when the idea becomes something real enough to bring back the next night. Itâs a feedback loop that doesnât happen overnight. @__decoder works in that space of immediacy and restraint, trusting the initial impulse and letting it stay intact.

For @__decoder , the production of Alchemy was a deliberate exercise in surrendering control. By prioritizing randomness over rigid programming, the process favors a fluid, unscripted movement where structure is rejected to preserve flow.
In this workflow, chaos is the primary catalyst. Elements are allowed to breathe and evolve naturally, moving away from the âperfectionâ of the grid. The goal is a sonic authenticity that transcends the dance floor.

Building a temple of sound from reduced elements, Decoder's Alchemy EP on T3R allows selected components to generate a strong and steady drive. Using a distinctly organic sound palette, the tone of the release is wordly, sometimes almost wooden with space taking the role of an active element. When melodies or chords appear, they introduce a subtle sense of melancholy, adding emotional weight without pulling the music away from its physicality.

Rooted in ideas of detachment and impermanence, @__decoder approaches music-making as a fleeting, process-driven act rather than a pursuit of perfection. Drawing from Eastern spiritual frameworks, each studio session is treated as a self-contained moment, an intuitive exercise in letting go, where tracks are finished quickly and left untouched, resisting the urge to refine or overwork. The result is Alchemy, a body of work that functions less as polished output and more as a series of sonic snapshots: raw, time-specific and deeply personal - closer to an audio diary than a fixed artistic statement.
