@ErtaDiRadda ’s gorgeous 2022 Chianti Classico Diego Finocchi’s mission is clear: capture Radda as faithfully as possible.  Stony and pure, layered with bright fruit and lifted acidity, his organically farmed wines are built for the table – precise, expressive, and unmistakably Radda. Small production. Quietly confident. L’Erta di Radda remains an insider’s estate. Among the finest in Chianti Classico, these wines speak in the style we love most – pure, elegant, balanced and deeply flavoured. Serious pedigree, remarkable value, and tailor-made for thoughtful wine lists. The 2022s are available now and moving quickly – email or DM to secure your allocation. #ChiantiClassico #Chianti #ItalianWine #MelbourneRestaurant #SydneyRestaurants

Belated birthdays + Christmas catch-up with the divine @morganlupson 🥂🎄🎂 Naturally, we kicked off at our fabulous friends’ place @codamelbourne . Still setting the benchmark for Asian fusion and holding One Hat in The Age Good Food Guide every year since 2009 (17 years straight 👏). A true Melbourne institution and the food never misses. If you haven’t been… fix that.💃 (And don’t forget their equally stunning sister spot Tonka 🔥best modern Indian EVER) At one stage I decided to jump behind the bar and shake up a few of my “signature” cocktails… safe to say the professionals should probably keep their jobs 🍸😅 Next stop: the NYC legend Death & Co, a cheeky drink on Hardware Lane to get amongst it, then into @murmurpianobar that was brilliant for a proper singalong 🎹 Then Morgan hadn’t experienced the CBD’s old-school icon Mitre Tavern, so we wrapped things up there🍻 Bloody Big week… of events but no rest for the wicked 💫

Final dinner in Melbourne and @codamelbourne was the pick, tucked just off Flinders Lane. Super flavourful menu, genuinely lovely service, be sure to book! We ordered the below for four people and 7 alcoholic drinks, the total came to $404.20, including a Saturday surcharge of $28.20. I’m thinking of including prices more often because it definitely helps me when I’m researching spots (life is expensive right now 😮‍💨). Split evenly, it was $105 each, which felt pretty reasonable for the amount and quality. For me, the curry and salmon was elite 🍛🔥 We ordered: 🦪 Shucked oyster with spanner crab & nam jim 🐟 Kaffir lime salmon gravlax, whipped tobiko & puffed nori biscuit 🦆 Semolina puff, duck liver parfait, umeshu & sumac 🌶️ Quail larb san choy bow, chilli, lemongrass & mint 🐟 Yellowfin tuna, bonito mayo, shiso & pickled kohlrabi 🐑 Hot & numbing crispy lamb, whipped chickpeas & sansho 🍛 Javanese curry, warrigal greens, choko, tempeh & macadamia rempeyek 🐷 Barongarook pork cutlet, koji marinade, edamame & mint purée, grilled fennel & gochujang dressing 🦐 Prawn & lap yuk fried rice with edamame & chives 🍟 Pomme frites Yum, yum, yum 🤌😮‍💨
