Cloud of Nothingness is now out in the world wherever ya listen ☁️🎧 link to bandcamp for CD’s in bio, more to come :) It’s pretty difficult to sum up what making this record has meant to me over these last few years, and hopefully those words will flow soon. But for now, I just want to offer immense gratitude to my collaborators. @stephenpatota , if my songs are the bones, your musicianship, vision, patience, precision, soulfulness, sonic risk-taking, and steady belief in this music is the flesh, breath, and blood that made it come alive. Thank you for pushing me beyond what I thought was possible and giving yourself so wholeheartedly over to this project for years. From sloppy demos to re-building entire arrangements, to talking me off the ledge when I thought about scrapping the whole thing, your buoyant and eager “yes, and…” was my anchor and my wings. @jondelvaux what the hell. You are a genius, you are my brother, you are the first person who I ever felt truly “heard” me, playing half-written songs on your front porch in 2016. You would just say, “do that again. Play that again,” and go and grab your guitar and in 30 seconds there was a full song. Making this record with you felt like that, just coming in with bare bones and good hook and you hearing the exact mic placement, choir, an orchestra, a whole musical in your unhinged and wild imagination. Thank you for the countless hours, soul, and care you put into making this shit sound as good as it could possibly sound. @tbdrummer86 , how are you simultaneously tighter than drum machine and the most sensitive, dynamic, feeling player I’ve ever worked with? You approached this whole thing such reverence and good humor and absolute precision. I still get the chills anticipating particular fills and crashes you hit when listening back. Thank you. @peterlabberton , I couldn’t believe you said yes to mixing this thing, when I got your email back it was like “oh shit now it’s real!!” You melted transitions seamlessly and from the dense fog of our weird ass stems you cohesively clarified each subtle wisp of sound with excellence and finesse. At long last!! My first full-length album called Cloud of Nothingness will be released on November 15th. Come to @northsidetav on Saturday 11/15 to celebrate with me n the band, @pity_xerox , and @flexyourlovemuscles . So much more to share, stay tuned.

UPDATE: we have reached our goal for funding her surgery. We’ll have more to say later but thank you all sincerely for your generosity. Hey friends, Our sweet girl, Slam Dunk, recently sustained a major ligament tear in her knee and will undergo surgery to help repair the damage. She’s still quite young and we want to ensure she can go back to running and playing and walking and goofing and live without pain and arthritis. If you have the means, it would be tremendously meaningful to receive any amount of financial assistance so we can afford her surgery. Thank you, Stephen, Bri, and Slam Dunk

🎻✨Some more fun behind the scenes footage recording strings at home for the song "Over My Head," the 4th song of ten on Cloud of Nothingness. @stephenpatota like the absolute genius pro he is listened to voice memos of me humming the string parts I heard in my head then took it and ran with it, creating charts with these lush, gorgeous, overlapping melodies, exactly like how I imagined the feeling- getting tossed over and over again by huge waves and losing sight of shore. I am so so lucky to get to make music with him. And what an honor it is to work with the incredible @notrabaron and @laurenschlson . Thank you for bringing these songs to life.
