Still floored to be even a tiny cog in the @st_vincent Daddy’s Home machine. I spent a couple months working with Annie in the early stages of this record—engineered a bunch of stuff, played some drums on a few songs (songs which did not make the record but were nonetheless incredible to hit some things along to! 🤷🏻‍♂️), had to pick my jaw up off the floor on a regular basis. It was an unreal, incredible experience—and the record is amazing! And a massive massive thank you to @cianthreetimes for inviting me into this world! He also played drums and mixed the dang thing. Crazy.

Last year sure was a weird one, but one *tiiiny* little silver lining was getting to contribute mixing to this gem from the dudes of Parquet Courts. Stay up late and put this one on loud enough to freak out and/or piss off your neighbors like I just did. :)

Couple releases out this week and last that I’m v glad to have worked on. :) - - - Last week, @adamyasmusic put out his debut album, which I mixed, engineered a decent chunk of, and played drums/percussion on. Getting to know him and work and hang was a real, genuine pleasure and I think the album is excellent—@kayhansounds produced it, @puttingitonwax mastered it, and it features strings from Anton Patzner (@foxtailsbrigade ) and @lewispatzner , guitar/steel by @mengles and @mikiyamatsuda , and keys by @stoneycoffee . Recorded at @bigbadsoundla , my studio, and various other spots around California including the amazing guitars at @drywowens ’ studio which he engineered, and bass tracked by @lakecube . Epic and larger than life and also intimate and beautiful! - - - Out today is the debut @jane.noise album. We started it about a year ago, with some songs Raj had written that were a departure from the songs we’d played on tour the year before. We instantly clicked in the studio, and chipped away at his new direction for the next several months. Raj is an absolute gem of a human and these songs are a real reflection of him—I co-produced with Raj, I mixed (and played drums/perc and some of the synths/keys/guitar/noises/delays/etc.), @vladomellermastering mastered, and @marcn26 expertly guided the whole operation. Also recorded at @bigbadsoundla and my studio. - - - Okay, get listening! (Oh and those are some crazy rocks/mountains right by my new studio in the first pic.)

It’s beautiful, it’s vibey, it’s got cool sounds, it’s got phenomenal singing—go listen! #Repost @resynator with @make_repost ・・・ Only A Broken Heart - OUT NOW! There are so many delicate intricacies to this seemingly simple song, the Resynator in my opinion really shines here. And to have Matt Berninger and Ronboy sing a duet on this means more to me than I can put into words. As with Honey Bee, the idea for covering a Tom Petty Wildflowers track came from my work as the archivist on the latest Wildflowers project. I found out that Tom & Rick Rubin chose to not include any synths on the record, so I decided to try making an all-synth (specifically all-Resynator) cover. I’ve grown really fond of Tom Petty and his art over the years and I couldn’t just pick one song to cover, so we did three 😎 I hope you enjoy our synthy take on this classic track. Excellent tube bass amp. Great condition minus some scuffs on the tolex. $1100 3. Ampeg 1x12 cab. Pairs perfectly with head listed above.
