EXHIBITION OPENING EVENT Join us on Friday 1 August 6:00 - 8:00 pm “ODE to - Gwyn”, “A Thousand Plateaus” and “Fragements that Hold” Three powerful ceramic exhibitions celebrating legacy, influence, and identity. ODE – to Gwyn is a celebration of Queensland’s most beloved potter, Gwyn Hanssen Pigott OAM. Twelve contemporary ceramicists respond to Gwyn’s enduring legacy, thoughtfully curated and presented in the quiet, contemplative style of a still life. Gwyn’s deep love of form, function, and the still life genre left a lasting impression on generations of Australian potters. An ode is a lyrical poem of varied length and style, often dedicated to a person or idea. In this exhibition, each artist work becomes a line in that poem, arranged thoughtfully in space, like verses in tribute to Gwyn. artisan 45 King Street Bowen Hills Creatives: @paperboatpress @wintera @panpottery @beansproutstudio_ @potting_along @solid__state @jane.orme.pottery @jennifer.hillhouse @judemuduioa @la.pascoe @michaelshawceramics @raquelvdiniz @rosiebirdart @yehceramics @53thingsdesign

Pot of the week. With a megaton blast of yellow, Stephanie Orschulok clears the clouds from a dreary weekend sky.

Pot of the week. Sylvia Vermaat is conjuring clay. Summoning the elemental and monumental on a scale that is anything but.
